The Best Grappling Submissions

mma submissionsTwo of the most famous MMA submissions of all time are the Armbar and the rear naked choke. Nailing these is essential if you want any hope of becoming a decent MMA fighter. Here are some nice tips to help you out with these great submission techniques.

Armbar - One of the biggest mistakes most beginners make when attempting the armbar is when after setting up the leg for leg sweep around the head, they have a tendency to take their body weight off the opponents chest during the swing, in an attempt to start grabbing the arm. But if you maintain the weight on your two hands on his chest, until after the leg sweep around his head, you'll actually find it easier to perform the move and it'll even be faster. Trust Me. The next thing to remember is before just cranking down on the arm, it's important to sit down first, then grab the arm and perform the lock. By drilling these 2 little details your armbar submission should improve drastically.

Rear Naked Choke A little detail that's easy to forget but really adds to this technique is actually found in the legs. Once your opponent has tried to roll out of the mount, finding himself on his belly means he will try to stand up. This is when you set up the technique. Hooking your legs under his legs helps you to really sit on your pelvis really making it hard for him to get up. Now you can go for the choke. Remember if his head is down lift up on his forehead and you'll be able to perform the technique.

Seems to be built solid and durable, probably as close as you can get to a perfect throw/ground and pound/grappling dummy on the market (because it mixes all these things). The price for this is great as well, would recommend to anyone wanting to improve their ground game"
