Ninja Films: Tools for Learning

Anybody that has been to Japan knows about the severe ninja problem that the Japanese people face. Ninjas are literally everywhere.

Though I have not been to Japan myself, I have seen enough historically accurate ninja movies to determine that Japanese people are victims of a
(n)infestation. I will share my vast knowledge of ninjiology with you in the hopes that together we can fight back.

Geraldo Rivera, known as one of the least sensational journalists that ever lived, has claimed that ninjas have learned how to swim, and it is just a matter of time before they cross the Pacific into California. If Geraldo said it, then it has to be true.

Below I have handpicked the top 10 ninja films of all time that can deliver valuable knowledge to us. Together we can beat them at their own stealth game!

Get your black masks ready. Here are the top 10 ninja movies of all time.

The Best Ninja Films for Education

Cobra Vs Ninja

The Storyline
Cut & paste at its best. A man is caught up in a syndicate that wants to control gambling. The ninja Cobra wants to fight Gordon (a master ninja) to prove he is the best. This is how the two stories mesh as one.

What I Learned
Even if English is clearly your native language, you still must have marginally talented voice actors dub you. Richard Harrison is awesome, and he's great at pulling his mask up, and taking it off. A must see for true nin-ficianados.

Zombie Vs Ninja

Storyline
A man is seeking revenge against a group of thieves who killed his father when he was younger. (The story isn't really important. This is a straight up cut & paste fiasco.)

What I learned
Godfrey Ho and Pierre Kirby combine forces to teach us more about the physical attributes of certain sects of ninja. Apparently some ninjas have no desire to blend in with their surroundings, and choose to wear bright yellow, red and white outfits. This concept is important to understand if you plan on protecting your home form ninjas.

The Octogon

Storyline
Ninjas are creating training camps to teach terrorists how to terrorize (no surprise there). It is up to Scott James to remedy the situation.

What I learned
The ninja threat is larger than I had previously thought. Apparently these vile beings will even stoop so low as to create international terrorist training camps.Thank heavens that we have Chuck Norris on our side.

The Hunted

Storyline
A businessman is in Tokyo for business. Whilst there he meet a beautiful woman who unintentionally get him caught in the middle of a war between the ninja and samurai.

What I Learned
In the 1990s, the Japanese finally had enough of their ninja problem, and they were forced to recruit the services of the Highlander himself, Christopher Lambert. Even the powerful samurai were no match for these clever ninjas, so Highlander had to teach them a thing or two about manners.

Enter the Ninja

Storyline
A war vet, who happens to have trained in ninjiustu, meets an old army buddy who is having problems with a local syndicate. It's up to Cole to keep things in order, and to rock the wives of friends.

What I learned
Enter the Ninja demonstrates the power of Caucasians who are both trained in the ancient art of ninjutsu, and also sport impressive 1970s porn star mustaches. For years rumors have circulated throughout Persia that Franco Nero's awesome power is derived from his mustache.

Ninja Scroll

Storyline
Jubei is a traveler with an attitude. He must stop a band of demons from overthrowing the government. Will he be forced to face his enemy that he thought was dead? (You probably know the answer since I just kind of asked that out of nowhere.)

What I Learned
There is much value in this little film. Study and learn the techniques that can be used against rock demons. The skills that you learn from this film, just might save your life someday.

Mafia Vs Ninja

Storyline
A couple of laborers are caught in the middle of a gang war.

What I learned
We learn from Mafia Vs Ninja that although ninjas can fly, and travel on the ground in the form of bundles of sticks, even 1930s newsies can contribute to their extermination.

American Ninja

Storyline
Joe Armstrong is a soldier with amnesia. He and his friend Jackson are the only two that can take out a ninja training camp.

What I Learned
We are able to see in American Ninja that not only can you be a race other than Asian, but you don't even have to be agile to fight ninjas. This is important for those of us who want to contribute to expelling the ninjas, but don't really feel like training. Remember, having strong convictions doesn't mean that you have to make sacrifices.

Ninja III: The Domination

Storyline
A woman is possessed with the spirit of an evil ninja. Through her he hope to avenge his death.

What I Learned
The rumors are true. After a ninja dies, he can possess women and seek revenge from the beyond the grave. That's a scary notion, so we must protect our young ladies at all costs. Make sure you have a priest with you as you kill ninjas so that he can give them their last rites. I have no science to back this up, but it should work.

Ninja Wars

Storyline
Whoever marries Ukio will rule the world. It's an all-out battle to win her hand, and take over the world.

What I Learned
Ninja Wars is possibly the greatest resource that is available for ninjiologists. This documentary was shot so that we could all see the vast skills that ninjas have. Who knew that ninjas could vomit at will, and that it is made up of acid. What will they think of next.

Ninja Assassin

The Storyline
A young man who was trained since he was a child has turned his back on his clan, and has decided that he needs to seek revenge. Along the way he is helped by Interpol agent Mika.

What I learned
I learned from Ninja Assassin, that there are some breeds of ninja that are able to inflict crappy CG wounds to their targets. It is my belief that we have no reason to fear the CG-ninjas because they have no real abilities. However, differentiating between CG-ninjas and actual ninjas can be difficult, so it is best to always stay alert.

The Films of Godfrey Ho

The man who would kill Richard Harrison's career

Godfrey Ho is one of the greatest cut-and-paste directors of all time. Most people focus on the fact that his movies are clearly two stories that are combined into one, but what they neglect to understand is that Mr. Ho is one of the foremost experts on Caucasian ninjuitsu. Listed below are the films of Mr. Ho, and though they are not all ninja films, they are all confusing and fun!

What Wikipedia Says About Ninjas

"A ninja or shinobi was a covert agent or mercenary of feudal Japan specializing in unorthodox arts of war. The functions of the ninja included espionage, sabotage, infiltration, and assassination, as well as open combat in certain situations.[1] The ninja, using covert methods of waging war, were contrasted with the samurai, who had strict rules about honor and combat."

Apparently Wikipedia doesn't know about the present ninja problem.
