The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is finally here--and definitely worth the wait. This could quite possibly be the most breathtaking game on the Wii with stunning but subtle visuals. But it's the gameplay that makes Skyward Sword stand tall above all others for the Wii. The precision with the Wii motion controls is deft and accurate, you truly feel you are Link wielding your sword to save Zelda once again. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is an origin story, where Link first meets Zelda, and discovers it is his destiny save Hyrule time and time again. There's no Ganon, but there are plenty of other evil doers you must conquer. If this is the Nintendo Wii's swan song game before all attention and development is geared towards the Wii U, the Wii is surely going out with a bang. This is the Zelda game we have been waiting for.
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Super Mario Galaxy 2 is platforming video gaming at its best, expanding the Mario universe more in this sequel to the smash hit Super Mario Galaxy from 2007. Super Mario Galaxy 2 won the 2010 Nintendo Power Awards for Game of the Year, Best Platformer, Best Original Score, and Best Bonus Content. You can never go wrong when pick up a video game featuring Mario. As Mario, travel across the galaxy visiting unique planets with Yoshi. This is one of the most beautiful looking games on the Wii with great graphics. Every now and then, pause the game to check out the landscapes. Every Nintendo Wii collection should have a spot reserved for Super Mario Galaxy 2 on its shelf.

Donkey Kong Country Returns
Donkey Kong Country Returns was winner of the 2010 Nintendo Power Award for Best Retro Revival. It is one of the best platformer games you'll ever play on the Nintendo Wii. The gameplay is similar to the early games on the Super Nintendo but it is not a remake, there are new villains (as well as some old favorites) and levels, and two players can play simultaneously for the first time ever. Donkey Kong Country Returns is what video gaming is all about--exciting and unique levels, and simple fun gameplay.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii
For the first time ever in a Super Mario Bros. game, play up to four players simultaneously, which fans of the SMB series have wanted for years. Playing multiplayer on New Super Mario Bros. will require cooperation and offer plenty of laughs as you work together or just pick up and toss each other around. Two new power-ups are featured in this game--Propeller suit and Penguin Mario. When you have the propeller suit shake the Wii remote to shoot up high in the sky and propel down. The penguin suit allows your character to slide on his belly over ice. For me, New Super Mario Bros. Wii is the best game for the Nintendo Wii, and what all platformer games should aspire to be. Platformers are easily my favorite and gamers who have fond memories of the old NES days should not miss out on this game. New Super Mario Bros. Wii has terrific replay ability because each level has 3 large coins to obtain. So after you defeat the game, collect all of the large coins from every level to unlock bonus levels. I won't spoil it, but New Super Mario Bros. Wii has an awesome little trick at the end.

Even if you've never played a Call of Duty game before, do not miss out on Call of Duty: Black Ops. Black Ops takes place during the Cold War era and it is up to you to stealthily engage the baddies behind enemy lines in the Soviet territories and Southeast Asia. But the real fun lies in multi-player--you can play at home or online multi-player against your friends or people throughout the globe. Play single player to rack up experience before taking on the gaming world online because you don't want to be that guy that dies every two seconds.

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars is based on the popular cartoon on Cartoon Network and will delight all LEGO video game fans. The premise of this game is like any other LEGO game--lighthearted fun gameplay and goofy humor. There are many secrets and characters to unlock (even some classic characters from the original trilogy) and it is a video game the whole family can play and enjoy. The Ground Battles may be the coolest moments in the game.

Michael Jackson The Experience features 26 of his greatest hits as well as the King of Pop's unique choreography and dance moves. Play up to four players--co-op or versus because you're Bad (you know it, really really Bad) by singing "Beat It," "Smooth Criminal," "Thriller," and many more classic MJ songs that took the world by storm. I just wish that Nintendo would have made a compatible white-sequined glove remote for gameplay.

GoldenEye 007
The Wii version isn't as groundbreaking as the Nintendo 64 original, but it will become a classic one day. Winner of Best Shooter and Best Sound/Voice Acting in the 2010 Nintendo Power Awards issue, this game will have you and your friends playing multi-player for hours to earn bragging rights. As with Call of Duty: Black Ops, the single player missions in Goldeneye are awesome but the real fun is multi-player where you have a license to kill and you better do it quickly before your buddy snipes you in the back. You can also play online up to eight players and play against other gamers at your skill level. There are over 40 characters to choose from, including classics like Jaws and Oddjob.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
It is a scientific fact that any Legend of Zelda game will be awesome and hook you on the series the rest of your gaming life. Well maybe it hasn't been proven, but it should be researched. This Zelda game has the best and most realistic graphics to date and using the Wii remote and nunchuck to use weapons makes you feel the part of the character Link. Or you can buy the Wii Link Crossbow pictured below. This is the perfect game for old Zelda fans and newcomers to the series.

Do you smell what the Rock is cookin'? Have you eaten your vitamins and said your prayers, brother? Are you the best there is, best there was, and best there ever will be? If you answered "yes" to all three questions then WWE All Stars is the perfect game for you. WWE All Stars has that awesome arcade-feel to it like many classic wrestling games in the mid-90's. Grapple and lay the smack down with legendary wrestlers like the Rock, Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage, and Andre the Giant, with current stars of the WWE such as John Cena, Edge, The Miz, and Big Show. This game has a solid and stocked roster even though it does have one glaring omission--Koko B. Ware. Fans will love pairing their favorite wrestlers of different eras in the squared circle. Did I mention Ultimate Warrior is in this game? 'Nuff said.

Augusta National has finally arrived on the video game scene. For the first time ever, play where every golfer would love to play at least one round--at Augusta National Golf Club. In EA Sports newest installment of Tiger Woods golf, you can play careers like in previous games and play through historic moments of the Masters, which seem to be countless. Also new to Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters is the option of bringing a caddie along for your round to offer advice and club selection. Keep in mind that it is still up to you to make the shot. If you're looking for one of the best sports game for the Nintendo Wii, look no further than Tiger Woods golf.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II
Star Wars: Force Unleashed II surpassed the highly successful first game in both gameplay and storyline. This is a must-have for all Star Wars fans. Note to game developers: All you need to do to make a great game is add a lightsaber. Note to gamers: Play with the lightsaber remote, it is more responsive and it is just plain cool. In Star Wars: Force Unleashed II you are Starkiller, Darth Vader's secret apprentice, and now fugitive as he searches for his lost love, Juno Eclipse while evading Vader and his stormtroopers. The game takes place during the time between Episode III and IV, before Admiral Ackbar discovered "It's a trap!" as well before Luke Skywalker whined about R2 units having bad motivators. This game will undoubtedly entertain Star Wars fans and casual gamers. May the Force be With you...you rebel scum!

Kirby's Epic Yarn is a combination of classic Kirby games and brand new levels to explore in this 2D platformer with 3D characters. This game differs from previous games in that all the characters and levels are made out of yarn. To defeat enemies, Kirby uses a whip of yarn to stun them. A really fun feature in this game is you can transform Kirby into a train, tank, submarine, monster truck, and flying saucer. A creative game that uses plenty of imagination for fun gameplay.
