Canadian Singer Michael Bublé
Michael Bublé is a Canadian-born singer who hit it big in the music industry in the year 2000. Born in Burnaby, British Columbia, Bublé developed an interest in Jazz music at the tender age of five.
Being a Canuck, he dreamed of becoming a professional ice-hockey player, but growing up, he found out that he was better at singing than at playing hockey. His teenage summer years were spent working with his father as a commercial fisherman.
As Michael Buble's family discovered his hidden singing talent, he was encouraged and mentored by his grand-father who played a pivotal role in nurturing and pursuing his talent. Around the age of 18, Bublé entered the Canadian Youth Talent Search and won the competition.
At this point Bublé appointed a manager, Bev Delich who worked with him for the next seven years. They explored many avenues to pursue his singing career like talent competitions, cruise liners, hotel lounges, bars and clubs, and many others, but success was hard to come by.
Bublé recorded 3 independent albums and moved to Toronto to pursue his music career. But by the age of 25, he was contemplating moving back to Vancouver, British Columbia to pursue journalism as a career. It was at this point that he had a major breakthrough which ultimately led him to become the celebrity that he is today.
One of my favourite music genres is Jazz and I came across Michael's music when listening to Smooth Jazz FM on the radio. I immediately loved his style and started listening to more of his albums. Below, I list down YouTube videos of my favourite Michael Bublé renditions. Tell me what you think...
