I am the Squid Angel of Blessings for the Sub-Topic of Western Europe in the Travel & Places Category. What does that mean? It means that I must keep an eye on all Travel lenses about the various countries in Western Europe and I get to bless the good lenses. I chose Western Europe mainly because It has over 2000 years of history, it is a major tourist area, which means lots of lenses, and I have never been there. So I get to live vicariously through others who have been there.

Lenses I Blessed when I was a Temporary Angel

I was given the chance to be an angel for one week - starting on Thursday 13th January, 2011. This was done through Rocketmoms.

It took me a while to realise that the small admin tools I had been given on the right sidebar - the ones that said thumbs up & thumbs down - were my angel tools. So innocuous & innocent looking.

So below are the travel lens that I blessed in that week. I haven't mentioned them anywhere else, and as of today (February 6, 2011) it's been less than a month since I blessed them, so I think they deserve to still be mentioned.

Valentines Day, February 14, 2011

The Angels were given a quest today to get 100 extra points. They have to give out blessings to 20 lenses. And today they are not called Blessings. Instead they are called Cupids Kisses. The message they will receive goes something like this.

Under the rules for our neighbourhoods - I am allowed to bless exceptional lens outside of western Europe - occasionally. So I blessed the the Tibet lens because I felt it was an exceptional lens. And if you haven't figured it out by now, I am very partial to France and to all good lenses pertaining to any part of France. Thats why I blessed two Paris lenses.

There are not too many lenses from Scandinavia.
I could only find 3 really good lenses to bless. Two from Norway and one from Iceland.
The remaining lenses all used Wikipedia and had no original material, text or photos.
