The reason that I am sharing this information is that there are people who are finding a creative way to make extra income. There are a lot of rumors that paid focus groups solicitations are just ways to sell you products. We participate in focus groups, and I have not spent a dime in my endeavor. Instead, it's provided some needed spending money for my family members.

My family accidentally became familiar with paid focus groups and medical studies during my pregnancy, when I was a perfect candidate for a medical study on stress and premature delivery. I was monitored monthly at Cedar Sinai, and not only was I compensated, I received videotapes and photographs of my children as fetuses. When my son turned 1, he was asked to learn simple tasks from candidates who were going to be certified to test small children as part of a study for the benefit of preschool. Somehow, these groups shared databases, and eventually we were asked to participate in non-medical focus groups.
