Best Paleo Chili Recipes
Chili is one of the best foods around. With its meaty and sharp taste it can be served as lunch, dinner or even comfort food. When following a Paleo or Primal diet some of the ingredients should be omitted. This however doesn't mean you have to stop eating a nice chili, because there are some very good Paleo Chili recipes out there which will tickle your tastebuds!
This lens is about those recipes. I've tried them all myself and can attest to their overall taste and flavors and high level of mjummy-ness.

Quick Paleo Chili
What other way to start this lens then with my favorite recipe by Paleo Eats.
Ingredients:
1 lb grass-fed ground beef
1 medium onion (chopped)
2 tbsp olive oil
4-5 cloves garlic (minced)
1 can organic tomatoes 14.5oz (petite-diced)
1 green bell pepper (chopped)
3-4 tbsp chile powder (depending on how you like the heat :))
2 tsp dry oregano
1-2 tsp ground cumin
salt and pepper
The recipe itself is easy and straight forward and done in little to no time. I myself ommit the salt, but I like to add some cut-up steak to it as well. Also (as suggested in the recipe itself) adding tomato paste gives it some more body. To add a little more spiciness to it, you might ad jalapeno peppers or extra chili. This one comes higly recommended.

Paleo Mama's Infamous Paleo Chili
Paleo Mama calls this recipe her Infamous Paleo Chili but she should be famous for it because it's that good.
Ingredients:
2 lbs lean ground beef (I look for 90/10)
1 large steak cut into chunks (or stew meat, whatever you prefer)
1 large can crushed tomatoes (look for the one where the only ingredient is tomatoes)
1 can diced tomatoes and chilis (again, look for natural here)
1 small can tomatillo salsa
1/8 cup almond flour (this is optional for thickening, omit if you have a nut allergy)
about 2 cups of beef broth
3 cloves garlic minced or about
2 tsp garlic powder1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tbs ground cumin
3-4 tbs chili powder
olive oil
I often ommit the salsa because of the lack of Paleo-friendly options I have available, in stead adding more tomato paste. Also to add some zing to it, I add jalapeno peppers or paprika powder.
This dish will take you a couple of hours to cook, but it's well worth it.

Crossfit El Paso's Paleo Chili
Crossfit El Paso has a Paleo chili recipe on their site which is more meatier than the earlier recipes.
Ingredients:
2 Cans Tabasco Chili Starter, Hot Flavor
1 Large Can of Diced Tomatoes
1 Small Can Tomato Paste
1 Small Can of Beef Broth
1 lb. Lean Ground Beef
8 Brown & Serve Sausage Links
6 Thick- Cut Slices of Bacon
Olive Oil
½ Onion finely chopped (Optional)
1 Green Bell Pepper chopped (Optional)
Fresh Jalapenos finely chopped (Optional)
1 tsp paprika (Optional)
1 tsp chili powder (Optional)
½ tsp red pepper flakes (Optional)
2 tsp salt (Optional)
1 tsp black pepper (Optional)
1tsp garlic powder (Optional)
½ tsp cumin (Optional)
It took me a while to find a good Tabasco chili starter, going for just adding tabasco sauce at first. Finding the right ingredient though really helped to enhance the taste of this dish. I myself add all the optional ingredients because it adds a sharp spiciness to it. But that's all personal taste.
Again, this recipe will take you a while to prepare, but if you like your chilis to be meaty and full of flavors, this one is for you.

- Thank you for calling for grass fed ground beef [all cuts should be grass fed]. We started ordering grass fed beef from Colorado farms about 3 months ago and will never go back to mass produced grain fed beef! Nice!
