This speaker doesn't need batteries or a ac adaptor so if you want a portable speaker that doesn't have the hassle of batteries this is a good choice.
However, as it doesn't take batteries its not the loudest speaker in the world. They therefore make great speakers when you don't need the volume to be very loud, such as when your working in close proxmity to others or in your bedroom at night. Or if you just need some speakers without batteries.
The speakers are great for portability. They are light and have a lid which can be used as a base as well.
