Reduce Your Cost and Prep Your Print File Right
Insty-Prints, a Buffalo New York printer, want to make sure you receive not only the best service printing your artwork, but the best printing results for your money. To ensure perfect printing there are some easy trouble-shooting methods that you can do before you deliver your material to your printer. Take a few minutes to carry out these steps and it could save you time down the road.
Has it been saved correctly?
Include all graphics, images and fonts
Make sure your file will open correctly and has all the necessary fonts and supporting graphics, all its pages and images.
Has Your File or Disk Been Scanned?
Make sure the file your sending is healthy
Make sure to scan your files or disks for viruses, making sure everything is in workable condition.
Bleed Demands Extra Attention
Make sure your artwork is properly saved
A bleed is any area on a printed sheet where ink extends to the cut edge. If you have a bleed in your artwork make sure your image extends beyond the cut area. Otherwise your artwork might be printed with a white edge.
300 DPI Please
High Res will produce high quality print
Make sure your scanned images always are at least 300 dpi. If it's less, the quality of the reproduction will be low. And be aware - images downloaded from the internet will probably not print clearly.
