I think Lily Was Here by Candy Dulfer was the 'best' sax solo - not the greatest, just the best. My head says Candy Dulfer and Lily Was Here is the best sax solo because it's technically so accomplished. The funky dialogue between Candy Dulfer on her alto sax and guitarist Dave Stewart is wicked. It's compelling and engaging ...

But it doesn't make me cry; it doesn't make me laugh. Which is why although it's somehow the 'best' sax solo, it doesn't get my vote as the greatest sax solo.
