Like many of the scoopable cat litter products, this is low dust. It utilizes baking soda to control odour. I have not specifically used this cat litter, but have found baking soda to be effective in controlling odor from cat feces and urine. Urine will make this turn into the clumps that are convenient to remove from the litter box.

As with any product, there are always some that love it and some that find it so-so. One person said that it has outstanding odor control and that their cats had no problem using it. There was another customer that stated that they did not like it at all. However, I suspect that this is likely a good product as long as you clean it on a regular basis.

I am sure many of you know of using baking soda in your fridge to control odors. Of course, sometimes a smell in fridge means you need to throw something out rather than just disguise it. Same with cat litter - you can disguise it all you want with these great products we have today, but you still need to throw out the soiled parts. But scoopable cat litter is far superior to the kind you used to buy 20 years ago.

There is scented and unscented versions available for this scoopable cat litter product. So it is up to an individual's nose as to what kind to use. Personally, I don't mind lightly scented but often I buy the unscented when shopping. It is almost considered a dust free cat litter so one won't have to breath in the dust. Why breath in what you don't have to!!

One reviewer stated that when they used this litter, they could smell no smelly odour from the cat's urine or feces. According to the company, activated charcoal is bonded to the litter granules to help eliminate odors. So when you see little black specs in the litter, you are seeing charcoal pieces amongst the clay.

It says it is multiple cat strength. I have found that most types seem to work well whether for 1 cat or three. I think the key may be to have one litter box for each cat or at least no more than 2 per litter box.

This product uses carbon for odor control. Most users seem happy with the product, though one customer did find the product created some dust. They wore a mask to eliminate breathing in the dust. I think that is probably a good solution for many.

Scoopable cat litter have many manufacturers. You may have to chose a few before you find the best one for you and your feline friend.

This scoopable cat litter is non tracking so you should not find it up in your bed! It has great clumping quality, so if you put enough in the box, it should prevent it from getting moisture down to the bottom of the litter box.

One reviewer stated that this clumping cat litter was the best they had ever used. It was found to not be dusty, clumped very hard and thus did not break apart as some of the brands do.

Does not say what kind of nutshells so there may be some caution here to those with nut allergies. One user says the product is from walnuts. And someone commented that it gave off a nice nutty smell.

The thing that some people will like about this is that it is certified as being safe to flush down the toilet. Of course, you can compost it too and then just use it in your yard. So very good for those of you that like green products. Eco friendly cat litter should make most happy!

Swheat Scoop Multi Cat Natural Wheat Cat Litter is biodegradable. IIt is clay and chemical free and is made from wheat. The enzymes from the wheat help neutralize odors efficiently.

A key point to this litter for many is that it can be flushed down the toilet including those that use septic tanks. It is 100% bioldegradable and compostable - very important in today's landfill over usage.

Overall reviews on this product are good. Some love it and some don't. You really must try a product yourself to know. And if being green is important to you, give this one serious consideration.

Ultra Pet Better Way Flushable Cat Litter is another clumping scoopable cat litter that is also safe to flush down the toilet. However, it is not recommended for septic tanks. Anyone that uses a septic tank that has ever had a blockage will know how expensive that can be!

Most cats know to use a litter box but this product has a natural cat attractant that comes from certain tree resins. This is a patented resin called Sanel. This product is touted by the manufacturer to be one that can help get cats to use the litter box again after they have started to eliminate outside of it. Might be a good try for those near their wit's end with a cat eliminating in the house. The outcome for such cats is usually not a good one.

Customer reviews give this a 4 out of 5 for a rating. One person mentioned that the litter was finer than some and might track around the house more. Some complained about the dust but again - wear a mask if you like the product. One person mentions a problem with their cats eliminating outside the box and except for one accident, it seems to have eliminated the problem.

So if you have a problem cat - this might be a good product to give a try.

Commercial cat litter origins started in 1947.

In 1947, Edward Lowe' s neighbor was having a problem with her cat. The female neighbor used ashes in her cat box which the cat tracked through the house. Mr. Lowe made a suggestion. Why not use an all-natural granular absorbent clay?

Edward sold this clay to machine and garage business owners to clean up small oil spills. The neighbor tried this absorbent clay and found it worked very well for for cat's litter box.

So Edward started packaging up 10 pound bags of the clay, wrote cat litter on the bag and started selling them to cat owners. And from there,
