Top Nintendo 3DS Games
The Nintendo 3DS has revolutionized video gaming by bringing 3D graphics to portable gaming for the first time. With longtime fan favorite franchises Street Fighter and Pilotwings available at launch, the 3DS has dominated the video gaming scene. The best part is no clunky 3D glasses are needed, so don't worry about having to look like a tool. You can also adjust the 3D settings with the Depth Slider. The Depth Slider allows you to adjust the intensity of 3D gaming, or completely turn it off. Even with the 3D mode off, these are the sharpest detailed graphics ever for the Nintendo DS product line.
A very welcome new feature to the DS is a Circle Analog Pad to go along with the classic D-pad. StreetPass and SpotPass are two completely new features that have generated plenty of buzz. StreetPass allows you to make virtual connections with your 3DS with real world people you pass on the street, to share or exchange Mii characters, high scores (you braggart, you), and custom characters. When you're not using the 3DS, put it in Sleep Mode and it will act as a pedometer to earn Play Coins to trade in for unlockable goodies and other apps. SpotPass can detect wireless hotspots and LAN access points for players to obtain game information and data, free software, and videos. Word of caution, though, if you detect a wireless hotspot in some stranger's van who has a dark-tinted glasses and Cheetos in his beard, don't get in the vehicle. He will talk your ear off about how everything was better in his day, especially video games. From Nintendo's eShop you will be able to download classic Game Boy and Game Boy Color games in 3D. Two games everyone is looking forward to is Super Mario Land and The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. The Nintendo 3DS is a remarkable achievement in video game history and you will be amazed the first time you see it. Within its first year it already has a slew of classic games like Super Street Fighter IV, Star Fox 64 3D, and now Super Mario Land 3D and Mario Kart 7!

Super Mario 3D Land

Super Mario in real 3D, can you believe it? For over 25 years, Super Mario has dominated video games and this latest platformer is the perfect addition to the 3DS collection. For starters, as Mario you get to don the Tanooki suit made popular from the original Super Mario Bros. 3! You also get to thwart another of Bowser's schemes of ruling the Mushroom Kingdom after capturing Princess Peach. Does anyone else wonder why she hasn't added more security and body guards since the original kidnapping in Super Mario Bros.? This game is worth purchasing a 3DS on it's own. There's just something special about traversing Mario through the blue backdrop of the Mushroom kingdom, getting sucked down green pipes, and stomping Goombas. Simple, yet addicting platforming fun.
Mario Kart 7

We had to wait a short while after the 3DS launch, but Mario Kart 7 is finally here. The greatest racing series in all of video games with a stellar roster of drivers from the Nintendo universe to choose from, Mario Kart 7 will surely not disappoint. Mario Kart 7 is the best selling 3DS game so far, and it's easy to understand why as you bowl around the tracks whipping turtle shells at your opponents. Play local wireless against your friends or online with people around the world. Customize your own vehicle to give you an edge around the many new and classic racing tracks in Mario Kart 7. The Mario Kart series brings something new to each installment, whether it's new power-ups or gliding jumps, get ready for some of the best 3D action and graphics as you immerse yourself in this top selling 3DS game.
Resident Evil: Revelations
Kid Icarus: Uprising
Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition

If you missed out on the Street Fighter craze of the 90's, don't worry, the video game we have been waiting for is here. The premier game for the handheld Nintendo 3DS launch is far and away Capcom's Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition. Since Street Fighter II's early roots on video game consoles in the early 90's, fans have clamored for more year after year and now the latest version is in 3D. Super Street Fighter IV's roster contains 35 fighters, including the original 12 from the first game on the Super Nintendo, like fan favorites Ryu, Chun Li, Blanka, and Ken. Each character has unique and special moves as you fight to the finish against your friends, or on Internet Mode where you can play against gamers in your local area and around the globe. The 3D mode gives you an over the shoulder viewpoint that smacks you right inside the action. This 3DS game is definitely not one to miss and the best of the NIntendo 3DS launch games. Sho-ryu-ken!

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D

The Nintendo 64 classic game has returned--in 3D baby! Put on your green tunic and slash and dash your way through Hyrule to save Princess Zelda, yet again, from the vile Ganon. Graphics got a huge facelift from the N64 version, and the 3D play is captivating, adding great depth to the landscape. Make sure you play with the slider all the way up. One thing that's always great with Zelda games is the music, each game has its own unique track that really makes you feel you are a part of the game, and not just controlling Link. What I love about Zelda games is the huge variety of different enemies I get to smite. You can never go wrong with a Zelda game--Ocarina of Time is the epic game gamers have been waiting for on the 3DS.

Tekken 3D Prime Edition
Shinobi

I'm a geek for any game franchise I loved as a kid, and I probably spent enough quarters at the arcade in the late '80's playing the original Shinobi to buy the damn thing. This game is not for the faint of heart, you will get frustrated by difficulty at certain points (I won't spoil) but overcoming these obstacles is what makes the game so entertaining. I mean, who doesn't want to be a ninja? Slicing and dicing, whipping stars in every direction--it's sweet. This game flows smooth, each jump and hack-and-slash are fluid. I was a little taken aback at first with the cartoon-y visuals but they soon grew on me.

Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars

How awesome is it to see lightsabers slashing through droids in a 3D video game? If you don't say "awesome" please visit your doctor immediately. LEGO Nintendo games have been huge hits and LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars will be no different. To date, this LEGO game has the crispest graphics and sound and will surely entertain casual and rabid Star Wars fans.

Dead or Alive Dimensions

Dead or Alive Dimensions encompasses all that is great about the series and then some with the new 3D mode. This is the first Dead or Alive game for a portable gaming device and it will not disappoint with revamped material from previous games as well as new content like the Tag Challenge and Throwdown. With a roster of 25 characters that includes bosses from previous games that were unplayable, this game will be right up there with Super Street Fighter IV. Battle other gamers online with Local play or Global.

Pilotwings Resort

This 3D enhanced video game will make you believe you are in the cockpit guiding your plane through rings before landing your plane or hang glider. Play with your personal Mii character or one of your Mii favorites. Take pictures of scenic landscapes to save in your picture album on the 3DS. Or if your bored or not into missions, why not take a scenic ride by playing the Free Flight mode (complimentary meal not included). Old and new fans will truly enjoy the flying experience that is Pilotwings.

Rayman 3D

As Rayman, you will take on the dreaded Razorbead and his evil robot pirates. This is an adaption of Rayman 2 from Sega Dreamcast revamped with controllable 3D graphics. Help Rayman collect four magical masks to awake a sleeping god to defeat the pirates once and for all. A wonderful platformer video game for people of all ages.
Ridge Racer 3DS

Every new console or handheld launch needs an awesome racing game and Ridge Racer 3D is the one you need to get. Although not much is new in this game that hasn't been seen from previous installments, the legendary courses get a fresh look in 3D graphics. If you are new to the Ridge Racer series, play this game with the 3D turned off for the first hour or so to get used to controls, specifically drifting--the signature move of this sweet game and series. The 3D graphics enhance the experience of blowing by opponents or as you rub them into a side rail. After a few tracks, try playing online multiplayer up to four drivers, the best feature of any racing game where you can test your skills against other gamers.

- Great lens! I love my 3DS, but haven't gotten much use out of it because I'm waiting for the awesome games to come out. OoT 3D should fix that... but really, I can't wait for Phoenix Wright VS Professor Layton. Just the existence of that game blows my mind.
