Before you start on a project such as building your own shed, you definitely need to do some planning - you need an easy and systematic way of determining your measurements, your material needs, the time required, etc. And you need to know what you will end up with and what it will cost before you get started.
If you enjoy woodworking you know what a big undertaking building a shed can be. You're aware of the time and effort involved and it never turns out exactly like you planned. You will be overworked, over-budget, and under-finished! And wasn't this supposed to be fun and enjoyable?
When I recently looked into this, I saw there were dozens of books on the subject. Some had great diagrams and instructions while others were not so good.
What I really needed was one with lots and lots of different types of sheds to choose from (as well as the detailed instructions). I could literally blow my budget on these books just to help me evaluate all the sheds I was looking at.
Of course I couldn't justify the cost doing that.
Step By Step Diagrams for Hundreds of Sheds
I did check online though and found Garden Shed Designs for literally hundreds of different sheds that I could build. I could download all the plans right away onto my computer for a lot less than buying up some of these books.
