Best SLR Digital Cameras For Sale

Advantages Of Owning A Digital SLR Camera
There are many advantages of owning an SLR camera as opposed to a point-and-shoot camera. You get not only more control, but faster responses and better image quality. Plus, you get the freedom of being able to change lenses whenever you want. When buying a DSLR, it's really important to take into consideration that you are not simply buying a camera, but also making a decision about the system of lenses you are going to use for years to come.
The Myth Of Megapixels
I feel I have to say something that may rub a few people the wrong way, but I'm going to say it anyway: when it comes to sensor resolution, bigger is not necessarily better. What I want to say is that more megapixels does not mean better images. It only means bigger pictures and more space used on your memory card and hard-drive. The truth is, most users don't need more then a 6 megapixel camera. What really makes a difference is the quality of your lens and the sensor, and this is where the cameras below set themselves apart from the competition.
Nikon D40
Compact and affordable.
The Nikon D40 is one of the best selling digital SLR ever released. It's compact, light and very user friendly. While with all DSLR there's a learning curve, this camera is a great for those making the transition from a point-and-shoot to a reflex camera. It has just enough features to be a powerful piece of equipment, without overwhelming the user with tons of options. Because it's a camera that has been around for a while, you can be sure to find a Nikon D40 for sale at a very reasonable prices.
All in all, this is a perfect camera for anyone who is after high quality photos, more control (which you don't get with a point-and-shoot) and true DSLR features such as instant power on and no shutter lag, without having to carry around a bulky, heavy camera.
I would say unless you are a professional photographer or hardcore enthusiast shooting sports and action scenes (which require faster focusing processor, faster frames per second and larger memory buffer), the D40 is all you will ever need.

Nikon D3000
Experience The Full Power Of A DSLR Camera
While the Nikon D3000 can be considered an entry-level DSLR, don't let that term make you think this is a stripped down version of a professional camera with little resources and limited features! The D3000 is a powerful camera designed for those who are moving away from the traditional point-and-shoot into the advanced world of Digital SLRs.
It is bigger and heavier then the D40 and has some extra features too. If you want full manual control, more resolution and exceptional image quality, this is the camera for you. The D3000 is a great camera that performs extremely well under low light conditions. This feature is often overlooked, but trust me on this one and you will thank me later -- when you get crisp, noise-free images of beautiful sunsets and street lights on rainy days.
The list price for this camera is $549.00, however, you can find a Nikon D3000 for sale for as low as $449.00. Buy Nikon D3000 at Amazon for with free shipping.
Sony DSLR A200K
A Different Option For Quick Auto-Focus
I have to admit I was a bit biased when I first heard of the Sony A200K. I'm a hardcore Nikon user and the only time I tried a Sony camera it was a point-and-shoot model a few years ago -- and I was not impressed. But it was several years ago and point-and-shoot and SLR are two very different games (it's pretty much like comparing apples and oranges). A few months ago, while on a holiday trip with some friends, one of them brought a Sony A200K and I got to take a good look at it. It really got me to change my mind regarding Sony cameras.
This is actually a great entry-level DSLR, with some great prosumer features such as in-body image stabilization (essential if you are shooting with a telephoto lens without a tripod) and support for wireless flash. The quick auto-focus and shutter response are a big plus and make it perfect for capturing multiple images easy, even with the flash, as well as taking action shots.
