The Best Stomach Exercises

Are you tired of investing in pricey equipment that promises to turn that stomach into a six pack, only to realize that you have wasted your money? The truth is, you DO NOT NEED any expensive equipment! You can easily turn that stomach into a six pack by using some of the best stomach exercises! This lens will go over some of the best stomach exercises that will have you on your way to a six pack in no time!

A Quick Introduction to this lens on the best stomach exercises

Let me make this clear before you go any further with any of these stomach exercises. No matter how good the list of the best stomach exercises you have is, you will get no results at all if you do not put forth some effort.

Another point that I must stress is that just doing these stomach exercises every now-and-then will not cut it. You need consistency. You will need to do some work! Your results will directly reflect the amount of work that you put into it!

When an individual decides on a fitness program with the best stomach exercises for them, it is best to include stomach exercises that work the different muscles in the stomach.

If you simply concentrate on one area of your stomach, your workout will not be as successful. The best stomach exercises usually concentrate on working the following:

  • Transversus Abdominis

This muscle wraps around the torso. It is the deepest muscle out of all of the muscles in the stomach. The transversus abdominis plays a major role in our posture.

  • Internal Obliques

These are on both sides of our torso. They are the second deepest stomach muscles. These muscles also play a large role in our posture, and aid in our torso's rotation

  • External Obliques

The external obliques are also located on both sides of our torso. When you feel the muscles on the side of your stomach, these are the musles that you feel. They do not help our posture too much, but have a huge role in our torso's rotation

  • Rectus Abdominus

These are the muscles that form what everyone calls a six pack. They are the muscles that are the furthest away from the torso on the stomach. They have a small role in our posture, but not too much.

  • The Best Stomach Exercises

I hope that you did not come to this lens in hope to find new exercises. In fact, Im sure that you have already heard a lot about these exercises that I am going to show you! I am being 100% serious... this is ALL THAT YOU WILL NEED! You will not need any other exercises to get your six pack. You will not need to buy any expensive equipment!

  • Crunches

  • Crunches are #1 on my list of the best stomach exercises! Crunches can be performed anywhere and really provide great results. If you are new to crunches, I recommend doing about 100 per day. That's not too many, if you divide it out to 25 crunches, 4 times a day. Once you get yourself used to doing 100 per day, move it up at your discretion. A lot of people think that you have to work your stomach muscles all in one sitting. That is not true! As long as you do your target amount per day, it doesnt matter how many you do per sitting! Just get them done before the day is over!

    • The Side Crunch

Side crunches are #2 on my list of the best stomach exercises. These work the internal and external obliques. I recommend doing a total of 50 side crunches on each side of the body per day. Some people feel uncomfortable when doing these because it requires a little bit of balance. If this is your case, another great stomach exercise that works your obliques is a variation of the crunch. Instead of coming straight up and down when doing the crunch, touch your left elbow to your right knee and then your right elbow to your left knee. These are not as productive as the side crunches, but will get the job done.

    • Flutter Kicks

The flutter kicks are #3 on my list of the best stomach exercises. When I first got into the Army years ago, I used to hate these exercises. I looked at them as a form of punishment, because when we got in trouble, the Drill Sergeants would have us do these. Then, I began to see my six pack beginning to form! These exercises will work all of your stomach muscles! They work all of your core musles actually!

You just simply lay on your back, elevate your feet no higher than 6 inches, and no wider apart than 6 inches. Kick one leg up about 1-2 feet and then as you bring that leg back down, bring the other one up. Do these for about 30 seconds, three times a day, and you will really feel a nice burn that covers the entire stomach!

Please remember... each human body is unique. Things that one person may be able to handle could be very difficult for the next person. Work at your own pace, and when you feel pain, stop immediately. I hate when I hear about someone hurting themselves in the process of trying to improve their body!
