Prism Stowaway Diamond - The Best Kite For Children
Our's Family's Best Kite
Regardless, we now know that the kite has been a mainstay in Chinese culture for a long time and they're now enjoyed all over the world. In the past 10 - 20 years there has been a significant improvement in the design and construction of kites; so much so that if you haven't flown a kite in that long you may be surprised at how easy they are to get airborne and how well they maintain their loft.

In our family we've discovered the best for children, one that takes off effortlessly and that flies like a kite should; our favorite kite that everyone looks forward to flying. The Prism Stowaway Diamond Kite is nothing like the kite you had when you were a kid... you know, the one you bought at the dime store and had to be careful not to rip as you unpacked it. Yes, the one that was made of some cheap, thin vinyl and soft wood frame and that you had to run with like Usain Bolt to get in the air. Of course when it did take off it would readily spin in a few uncontrollable loops, mockingly, and then dutifully crash nose first into the ground. A few pieces of tape later you were at it again, trying valiantly to get the thing to fly. Ahhh, those were indeed some good times.
Today, however, for a modest price of around $20 you can get the best kite for children that not only provides pure kite flying fun, but that doesn't crash to spite you and is engineered in a way that allows it to survive the occasional dip in the dirt. The Prism Stowaway Diamond is the kite I can't imagine not having on our outings, and the one I suggest every family have on hand to make kite day one the kids will remember for more than the duct tape. For price to performance it's the unquestionably the best kite for child and adult alike.
"Families are the compass that guide us. They are the inspiration to reach great heights, and our comfort when we occasionally falter."
~Brad Henry
How often does your family fly kites together?
Classic Diamond Kite Flying
To assemble, just pull it out of the case and let the rods spring into their connectors; the spars are connected by bungee cord just like a tent pole so there's nothing to lose and no way to assemble it backwards. The lightweight fiberglass frame and ripstop polyester sail give this kite a wide wind range. It flies eagerly in a breeze and when the wind picks up just attach the colorful 2-part matching tail for added flair.
- Quick and easy assembly: Just let the rods spring into their connectors
- Packs up tiny for easy travel
- Classic design with modern materials and technology
- Three beautiful fractal-based designs
- Ready to fly with a colorful 2-part matching tail, flying line, winder and compact travel case

Prism Stowaway Diamond
The Champ - The Best Kite For Children Without Exception
If you're looking to get the best kite in your price and experience range there's a site called Best Kite which reviews top kites from single line beginner to stunt kites. Prism kites, and in particular the Prism Stowaway Diamond, are simply the best kite you can get for the money.
What I really like about the Stowaway is it folds up into a small package so I can keep it in the trunk of my car, out of the way, and within a few seconds I can have it out and up in the air. Everyone who has flown it agreed that it's amazing at how easily this kite takes to the air and how simple it is to maintain its loft. It almost defies any experiences you had with kite flying as a child.
Bottom line, this is the ONE kite that should be a part of every family's weekend fun kit. Between the incredible Amazon service and Prisms impeccable warranty there's little risk in putting my recommendation to the test. My opinion and that of many, many others ranks this as a classic and best kite for children of all ages.

Spending quality time with one another has never been more important for families, and spending that time outside is a bonus. - Even though it is getting harder to find an area open enough to fly a kite, our family still enjoys flying kites. It is just usually at the beach these days :)

- Well, another favorite for me. I love kites and I am 67. When my brother and I were kids, dad make box kites with scraps (he was a carpenter) and we loved them. We usually used newspaper for the covering but the tails we where our color came in. So, I say, "Go Fly A Kite!"

- Wonderful lens and we used to have a day of kite flying here in Canberra down by the lake. I don't know if that is still the case but I will be following this up for my grandsons. Great gift suggestion.
