One of my favorite movies of all time, it also shows Japan in all its facets. There's Tokia with its highrise and high tech billboards and strange nighlife, bars and restaurants. But also Kioto and its temples are shown in all its serenity.

The scenery of the Himalayan mountains is breathtaking in this movie as is the scenery of Lhasa. Although being one of the most remote places in the world, by seeing this movie you'll think it is well worth a visit.
