The History of the Slide Trombone as we know it dates back to the Roman Empire although cave wall drawings of trombone-like devices have been found dating back to Cro-Magnum Man and earlier. Some Believe that aliens used these devices as weapons or disiplinary aids to controll the high-strung cave dwellers yet others believe the visitors were but early versions of "The Music Man", sent to Earth to simply start a Boy's Band.
