Boardwalk Empire is set in Atlantic City in the roaring twenties during The Prohibition. Steve Buscemi, once again, plays a terrific role as Enoch "Nucky" Thompson. This show is all about mobsters, illegal booze smuggling activities, political intrigues. Not only directed and produced by Martin Scorcese but also by Terence Winter who won an Emmy Award as screenwriter of The Sopranos.

This TV show is based on the book with the same title also by Nelson Johnson and Terence Winter.

Justified is the story of Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant), a true-blue hero and something of a throwback.

The great acting, many levels of meaning, clever cameos and true-to-life subplots make this series "a love letter to New Orleans".

Crime / drama series with as protagonist the charming, uber-cool con man Neal Caffey (Matthew Bomer). Caffey is forced to cooperate with the FBI after his release from a maximum security prison.

White Collar is both thrilling as well as thought provoking. It also has a solid portion of humor. Praised for its innovative filming and clever plots and twists. I recently started with this series and it grabbed me almost instantly. A real must see if you ask me.

Breaking bad is an outstanding (literally) drama TV show. There's absolutely no show like this one. Period. This show is brilliant to some, lacking sparkle to others. Peppered with very dark humor, described as "Thelma & Louise" as seen by Dostoyevsky." by a NY Times reviewer.

This show is about Walter, a middle-aged chemistry teacher who becomes a methamphetamine dealer. About a broken man fighting against his own sense of morality. About an unremarkable and uncharismatic chemistry teacher who discovers new passion in his life after he learns he has terminal cancer.

Brian Cranston will probably and finally get the respect as an actor he deserves thanks to his performances in this show.

From the writers of The Shield comes Sons of Anarchy. A drama TV show about an outlaw motorcycle club operating in Charming, a fictional town in Northern California.

Sons of Anarchy follows the Sons of Anarchy motorcycle club but also features a number of ally and rival gangs, such as the Mayans, 1-9ers, Nords, Real IRA, Aryan Brotherhood (AB's), and a white separatist group called the League of American Nationalists (LOAN).

Even if you aren't into vampire movies and TV shows this show is worth trying. I suspect you will get sucked in. It's unique because of it's well-performed blend of soap opera and its macabre horror-flick character.

True Blood is based on the Sookie Stackhouse novels written by Charlaine Harris.
