Tips to Remove Blackheads

So what IS that nasty blackhead anyway?

Blackheads are composed of oils that are stuck inside our pores. Yeah, not a pretty thought. These pores can very readily form pimples. Why are they black? This is because of the lack of air to the oils.

Now I know how it is. It is so tempting to just start pinching those blackheads out and it seems like a great answer for the best way to remove blackheads. But this is just a temporary solution that will end up being a problem later on.
You will regret it when zits start coming out because you actually ended up pushing parts of the blackhead deeper into your skin.

Extracting Blackheads from Your Skin

Let's get rid of those things.

So how do we get rid of those blackheads?

Well you have to understand why you are having these blackheads and get to the "root" of the problem. Blackheads are a result of too much oil production in your pores. Yes it's true you did not put that oil there, but perhaps you did. Staying away from oily and greasy foods will cut down on this oil production.

One simple solution for reducing blackheads is to get into the habit of cleaning your face, not just in the shower, but in the middle of the day. Use a mild soap to help clear away some of that oil build up that causes blackheads. Preventative care really is the best way, even though it takes some discipline.

Use an exfoliating product to help take away the layers of dead skin that block your pores from the air.

This being said, you don't want to have your skin dry out too much by cleaning it too often. A moisturizer with some aloe will help keep it healthy. When it comes to proper skin care the byword is "balance".

If you simply can't help yourself and just want to squeeze them out one at a time, then be sure to be gentle and use a tissue. But don't blame me if they flare up into a slew of zits.
Get some steam on your face to open up those pores a little first and try not to squeeze too hard or you will cause irritation. Do this and it should help the process.

Try Using a Blackhead Remover Tool

Get rid of those troublesome blackheads with this nifty tool

It is not wise to use your hands when trying to get rid of blackheads because you can do more harm than good. In fact you should keep your hands away from your face as much as possible. With this little blackhead remover tool you can safely and efficiently remove blackheads with no sore skin after wards. This tool helps to eliminate red, irritated skin from trying to squeeze blackheads out and is a safer and cleaner alternative to using your hands or a tissue. This tool helps to cleanse your pores as well and keep the oils from turning into unwanted pimples.

How to Cover Up Blackheads while Treating them at the same time.

We all want to cover up those blackheads so no one can see them, but the problem is that using make-up to cover the balckheads will clog the pores even more and lead to worse pimples later on. So how do you treat your blackheads and cover them up at the same time?

Well Neutrogena has come up with a great solution that I have seen work pretty well. It's called Neutrogena SkinClearing Concealer. This will help to cover up those unsightly blackheads while treating the problem at the same time. The active ingredient is Salicylic acid which is what treats the skin.

You can make your skin worse by squeezing blackheads. You really need to look at your skincare routine. Cleanse your skin twice daily with appropriate cleanser for your skin type. If you don't know your skin type go for a cleanser that is suitable for all skin types. Use cleanser as instructed and if it states you need to use a toner - then use a toner. You should also exfoliate your skin twice a week and use an appropriate mask ie if your skin is spotty or you have black heads use a deep cleansing
mask. If skin is dry use a moisturising mask.

If you wear make up cleanse your skin twice.

Here are some products that I have used:-
