Being Mindful About Money & The Best Way To Save Money When Eating Out

The best way to save money is to be mindful of how exactly it is you earn money and what that means every time you spend your money. For example, I've happily waltzed up to a cafe and ordered a coffee, cake, hot chocolate and biscuit for myself and my husband all for a total of sixteen dollars.

Where did that sixteen dollars come from and what do I need to do to earn it again?

Are you mindful of what it takes to get a dollar into your hand and if so do you think about it often enough to only spend on things you truly value or need?

You may find that eating out is one of the ways your family spends way too much money and a great way to save money would be to make your families favorite restaurant meals at home. Yes you can save a great deal of money by following eating at home and cooking one of these great restaurant meals from this cook book. Imagine how much money you will save and how impressed your family will be with your cooking!

When it comes to finding out the best way to save money I think we all need to start by looking for areas where we can cut back and still have the things we love. Especially when it comes to eating. I know myself that I would be the first one to say my passion is food and I love to eat out regularly. I have my favorite places to eat and it has become almost a routine for me to spend money eating out each week. I was so glad when they came out with this cook book though because I know how much money can be saved by eating at home. The best way to save money is to cook these restaurant meals yourself at home whenever you can in order to cut down on the overall costs of eating out.

Having Money Isn't All About Luck

Many people believe that money comes to those who are lucky but although luck can play a part, it's certainly not the main reason why some people have a lot of money. It's common for those individuals who have 'more' to be good savers and to spend their money wisely. They consider what their money is being spent on; what will the purchase do for them or others?

As mentioned above, the best way to save money is to be mindful of how you get your money, what you spend it on and what it will take to earn back the money you spent. You will discover that you will spend less and save more simply by reminding yourself of the things you need to do to earn back what you're spending.

So sixteen dollars for example might take a good solid hour of work in the form of standing at the local supermarket processing people's groceries for them or cleaning toilets for an hour in the local park. Whatever you 'job' is, that's how you earn your money. It doesn't fall off trees; you earn it and so saving it for the things you truly need and cherish is important. Why work hard just to squander your money away mindlessly on ten minute cafe stops or junk food that robs your health?

Think about it? If you really stop to consider just how valuable your money is and what you have to go through to get into your bank account in the first place, you're likely to start saving money faster than ever before.

I see some good tips...and although I am frugal by nature after all these years, I see some books I would love to have the chance to read.

Thanks...books are my lifeline to tips on saving money. Over the years I have read many great books and to tell you the truth most of them bring you back to the basics when it comes to learning the best ways to save money.

For instance something as simple as using vinegar and water for cleaning, this can save you a ton of money and it's cheap. Vinegar and water is great as a cleaner for counters, glass, you name it and after the initial smell of the vinegar dissipates your home smells very clean and fresh.

Using coupons is truly one of the best ways to save money...unfortunately so many people feel that it is a waste of time to clip coupons or print out a coupon.

I just smile to myself when I go to eat out with a "two for one" coupon because I know that my husband and I can eat at the local all you can eat for $9.99 while the next couple in line will be paying $19.98. I can think of lots of ways to spend my saved money. In today's economy you would think everyone would take advantage of the coupon savings and find the best way to save money for themselves and their families. Just type in "best coupons online" in google or "coupons for ___________" and enter your city.
