WorshipTogether.com: The Best Worship Resource Ever

In the Spring of 2009, I was privileged to attend a very intimate conference with some of the world's most well-known worship leaders.  WorshipTogether.com hosted an afternoon and evening event featuring Brenton Brown, Matt Maher and Michael and Lisa Gungor.  The entire event featured two sessions when all of the artists shared as well as four break-out sessions covering specific topics, one presented by each performer and a couple of others presented by sound, presentation and lighting experts.  The break-out sessions each had only about 40 people in them, so it was easy to ask questions and get to know the presenter a bit better.  My favorite was Matt Maher.  I was so impressed by his depth and his witness. 

The day finished with a concert (included in the price of only $65 for the entire day) with all 4 artists performing. And tickets for non-conference attendees were only $10 each!  The worship was amazing and uplifting.  I can't believe the whole event was so inexpensive and so close to home (I only had to drive 2 hours to get there).  If WorshipTogether brings a conference close to you, I highly recommend it!

If you write songs for your congregation, I'd love to hear them! Send me an MP3, sheet music and lead sheet, after I have a chance to listen and play through it, if I would use it for my congregation, I'll put it on my New Worship Songs lens so others can use it.

Let me share upfront, I'm pretty tough. Just because it makes radio play doesn't mean I'd use it in my church. Music we use has to be theologically correct and have a very singable rhythm and melody. In fact, your song may be a great solo number, however, I'm looking for great congregational songs.

You need to be willing to allow other churches to use them without any strings. I do have a disclaimer that songs can't be recorded without Mechanical License being paid. My goal is to help songwriters get their music out there and heard. I don't want any rights or royalties. I'll just share the great ones and hopefully, the right person will finally hear it and someone will be able to get a song in the CCLI top 25!
