Left 4 Dead
Multiplayer zombie slaying action
Like your standard Valve game, it's totally awesome. From the makers of the Orange Box, Left 4 Dead is the best zombie game to ever come out. If you like cooperative team play, this is as good as it gets. The game requires 4 players, which can easily be found through Xbox Live. There are cooperative missions with extremely intelligent AI, a survial mode, and a versus mode. Versus mode lets you play as a zombie and attack the enemy humans. This is my current favorite. It's hours of multiplayer zombie action!
Gears of War 2
The best cover system of all time
I used to think Gears of War couldn't get any better, then Gears of War 2 comes out. The graphics and the new and improved cover system make this game one of the best. If you're a fan of Halo or multiplayer shooters in general, you need to check this out. The campaign is ridiculous with 2 players but still fun with just 1. One of the major highlights is the multiplayer horde mode, which might be the best thing ever. You group up with 4 others and try to survive wave after wave of increasingly difficult horde. Get this bad boy now!
Halo 3
The original multiplayer shooter
Halo 3 may be the best multiplayer shooter of all time. Let's be real, you're living in the stone age if you don't have this game. You can spend hundreds of hours playing multiplayer battles online and it never gets old. They have been consistently coming out with new maps and content as well to keep it fresh. This one is a no-brainer. If you don't have it, join the rest of the world and get it!
Call of Duty: World at War
World War II gaming at it's finest
Call of Duty: World at War is the best of the best in World War II gameplay. It's built on the same engine as Call of Duty 4 but with new environments and enemies. If you like old school war games, this is the game for you. The cooperative campaign is extremely addictive and the multiplayer play is top notch as well. It also features a zombie survival mode similar to the horde mode in Gears of War 2. The graphics in this game are also some of the best out there. This is a staple in any good Xbox Live library.
Halo Wars
A new kind of Halo game
This is an unconventional Xbox Live game. Rather than your regular shooter, this is a real-time strategy game. You'd think the controls would be clumsy without a mouse and keyboard, but they actually did a good job with it. You control armies rather than a single unit and try to destroy your enemies bases. You'll see familiar Halo characters, but from a different point of view. This is a great addition to your Xbox Live arsenal.
Unreal Tournament 3
Fast paced online carnage
This is a great game if you just want to sit down and immediately start blowing people to bits. There's no real campaign, no plot, just fast paced futuristic violence. It takes some time to get used to, but for the price its a great game. It's really fast and easy to play on Xbox Live if you just want to sit down for a quick game without all the bull.
The Orange Box
5 awesome games in 1 box
The Orange Box is an epic release from Valve. It includes Halflife 2, Team Fortress, and Portal. There's actually 3 episodes of Halflife 2 included so it's actually 5 games in one box! You can't play Portal on Xbox Live, but it's still one of the coolest games ever. Team Fortress is also a blast with its cartoony graphics and crazy multiplayer violence. This is probably the best value you can get in an Xbox 360 game. It's a must have for any good gamer.
