Top 10 Viral Youtube Videos
Youtube is the most popular video site in the world. It's not suprising that it's full of various funny, amazing, or just silly video clips. Most of these never make it big, but others gain millions of views in a matter of weeks and achieve the status of an internet meme.
You will find some of the most popular and best Youtube memes below, including classics like Star Wars Kid and Chocolate Rain, as well as newer ones like the Bed Intruder and the Trololo song. You can also vote for your favorites in our funny Youtube videos poll at the bottom of the page.

#1. Bed Intruder Song
When 24 year old Antoine Dodson gave an interview to local television about house intrusion and attempted rape of his sister, he had no idea he'd achieve internet fame. The interview itself was quite a sensation, but what really made this meme so popular was a remix by The Gregory Brothers
called the Bed Intruder song. It is a part of their Auto-Tune the News series on Youtube, and contains Antoine's autotuned voice with added music. The song reached #89 on Billboard's Hot 100 list and you can even download it from iTunes where it has sold thousands of copies. Listen to the the original Bed Intruder song on Youtube below:

#2. Charlie Bit Me
Charlie Bit Me is a ridiculously popular Youtube video uploaded back in 2007. It shows two brothers, Harry and Charlie (3 and 1 years old, respectively), and, like the title suggests, Charlie biting his older brother's finger. This meme has many remixes, spin-offs and parodies; it was featured on Time.com and, believe it or not, is the most viewed Youtube video of all time! Charlie Bit Me has over 408 million views at the time I'm writing this post, and when you watch it below it will probably have a lot more.

#3. Evolution of Dance
Evolution of Dance is a viral Youtube video by comedian Judson Laipply. It consists of 12 popular dance songs from 1956 to 2000. The video raked up 70 million views in under 8 months when it was uploaded back in 2006, and remains one of the most viewed Youtube clips of all time (although it's not #1 anymore). Evolution of Dance was all over the internet, TV and other media at the height of its popularity. In year 2009, Judson Laipply released a new version of the video, the Evolution of Dance 2. While it did get millions of views, it wasn't quite as popular as the first one.

#4. Trololo Man (Eduard Khil)
The internet can turn anything into a meme, and Trololo song is a great example of this. Russian singer Эдуард Хиль (Eduard Khil), born 1934, had no idea one of his songs would become so popular 40 years after the height of his career. The song in question is called "I am very glad, because I'm finally returning home" and contains no lyrics - some say it was due to Soviet censorship (the lyrics were supposed to be somewhat questionable), and others that it was due to Khil having an argument with the composer of the song.
Trololo song is also sometimes called the Russian Rickroll. It has received over 3 million views in just a month, and spawned numerous remixes and parody videos on Youtube.

#5. Star Wars Kid
Star Wars Kid is an old Youtube meme from 2003. It is a great example of internet fame gone wrong: the person displayed in the video is a Canadian high school student who filmed himself using golf ball retriever like a lightsaber. When his classmates found and uploaded the video to the internet, he had to move and change his name to get away from the constant harassment and bullying. Although, the story does seem to have a happy ending.
This Youtube meme has spawned multiple remakes, many of which are more interesting than the original. I especially recommend the Drunken Jedi as it has some neat CG effects.

#6. Slap Chop Rap
This Youtube meme is a remix of a Slap Chop
food chopper infomercial with Vince Offer. The commercial has multiple remakes, but the most popular, and probably the best one is an autotuned version by Youtube celebrity djsteveporter that you can watch below. Thanks to hilarious and silly lines like "stop having a boring tuna, stop having a boring life" it really makes quite a song. This remix became so popular, it was actually aired on TV! Check out the original infomercial to see what this awesome Slap Chop rap was created from.

#7. David After Dentist
David After Dentist is a hilarious internet phenomenon showing a 7 year old boy high on drugs after undergoing dental surgery. The kid looks totally confused, and his funny lines like "Is this real life?" will crack you up. This video has received over 90 million views on Youtube, was featured on Times.com and even has a site dedicated to it, DavidAfterDentist.com.

#8. Why is the Rum Gone?
This Youtube phenomenon is one of my personal favorites, since I really enjoyed the Pirates of the Caribbean
movie series. The remix is centered around Johnny Depp's famous line from the first movie, "Why is the rum gone?" which he says after Elizabeth uses the rum to light a big signal fire to escape a deserted island. (Everyone knows that pirates love their rum).
Other similarly remixed funny Youtube videos are I've Got a Jar of Dirt (from the same movie series) and They're Taking the Hobbits to Isengard (from Lord of the Rings, obviously).

#9. Chocolate Rain
Chocolate Rain is a song by Tay Zonday (real name Adam Nyerere Bahner) that was uploaded to Youtube on 2007 and quickly reached the status of an internet phenomenon, thanks to the exposure on 4chan. Now the clip has over 67 million views and is among the top 50 most viewed Youtube videos. Like it usually is with internet memes, multiple remixes of Chocolate Rain were made. While not all of them are very good, some are really amazing, like this Chocolate Rain 8 bit remix. You can also watch the original song below:

#10. What What (In The Butt)
What What (In The Butt) is a music video by Samwell, a gay African-American singer. He became an internet celebrity when the video was upload on YouTube and achieved millions of views. The video has numerous references to homosexuality:
- In episode 1204 of South Park
"Canada On Strike" the boys posted a viral video on "YouToob" of Butters performing the "What What (In the Butt)" song. Various other web fads such as the Tron Guy, the Star Wars kid, and Chocolate Rain were also featured.
- "What What (In the Butt)" was an official selection at the Milwaukee International Film Festival and the Mix Brasil Film Festival.
- The video was featured in episode #53 of ADD-TV in Manhattan.

- Okay... So I still stick with the first comment I left. Really felt bad for that poor boy that just got back from the dentist. He really looked like he was in torment. Hope he doesn't have to get anyore procedures done again that require such strong medicine.
