Sanjaya Moves on to a Week with J. Lo

All of us are wondering why Sanjaya is still a constestant on Idol.  He definitely is not one of the best singers in the Top 4, but he is still there. Performing this week with Jennifer Lopez on Latin Week, Sanjaya, once again, will be a force to recon with. How will you vote America?

Sanjaya has passed through the Idol rounds as he has moved into the elite 8 and a date with Jennifer Lopez. Sanjaya moved to the Latin beat with J.Lo and got to shake his bon bon with Paula one more week at least.

Sanjaya has become a phenonomen in the media world as more and more talk shows are talking about him and wondering how far he will go. He is definitely not winning votes for his singing, but more for his media personality and his persistence, similar to William Hung in many ways.

Sanjaya needs some serious help with his singing ability, but he is having fun messing with the Idol faithful as he continues to move through the weeks. I wasn't sure what was worse, the hair or the vocal performance. Gwen Stefani wasn't even sure that Sanjaya picked the best song for him as "Bathwater' was a difficult song choice. Sanjaya struggled with the chorus and had a hard time on the bridges. I think Sanjaya has come to accept that he is not the best vocal performer in the competition and does not have the strongest singing voice, as Simon said last night "You have your fan base, good luck." The judges don't know what to say as Sanjaya becomes the American Idol saeson 6 phenomenon. We will see tonight if Sanjaya makes it through to another week of American Idol.

As he continues to show that he cannot sing and struggles with his vocal range, voice strength, and song choice, he still has the charisma and charm to keep America voting. It it was an interesting week for Sanjaya as he tackled Latin week.
