Weightwatchers
Weight Watchers is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in the world of slimming, with 10 million Brits walking through the doors of their nearest meeting in the last decade.
Weight Watchers effectively promotes a reduced-calorie, low-fat diet, to encourage weight loss. The Weight Watchers programme is called Switch and consists of two different diets:
The Points Plan - this allows you to eat and drink anything you like as long as you stick to a daily Points allowance.
Or
The Core Plan - this allows you to eat from a set list of healthy or 'Core' foods. There's no limit on quantity - you simply eat until you feel comfortable. You also have a weekly Points allowance for treats.
You can 'switch' between the two programmes at any time.
The Weight Watchers plan is gaining popularity with health professionals. For example, Weight Watchers are increasingly working with the NHS and some GPs now refer and pay for their patients to attend weekly meetings. Ultimately, both the Points Plan and Core Plan help members to reduce the calorie and fat content of their diet - all good stuff!

Exercise is very important for long-term weight maintenance and good health. Few people can lose weight by exercise alone but if you follow the advice in the Fitness with Cambridge pack, you will, supported by your Cambridge Counsellor, achieve your goals.
YayFood Diet
The YayFood Diet is centered on the principle of calorie cycling. Calorie cycling, also known as calorie shifting, is not a new fad.
People have been using calorie cycling for years because it works.
With diets such as "low carb" or "low calorie" your body gets used to what you're doing so although you will lose weight short term - it never lasts.
Your body will eventually plateau not to mention, when you get off of the diet your weight comes plummeting back.
With calorie shifting you trick your body.
Your body never knows what's coming to it so it can't adjust to anything.
Think about a time when you were on a diet and not losing any more weight. Think about how you got disgusted gave up and went back to your normal eating habits and then astonishingly ended up losing weight?
Shockingly that's completely normal and defines "calorie cycling".
Historically mankind always ate this way and our bodies are naturally optimized for this.
It's also better for psychological mindset, stress resistance, longer life span, increased insulin sensitivity. It reduces morbidity, cancer formation, kidney disease, and helps protect against Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer's and stroke.
How's THAT for a beneficial way of eating?

Mediterranean Diet
Click Here For The Truth About Six-Pack Abs!
There's no one "Mediterranean" diet. At least 16 countries border the Mediterranean Sea. Diets vary between these countries and also between regions within a country. Many differences in culture, ethnic background, religion, economy and agricultural production result in different diets. But the common Mediterranean dietary pattern has these characteristics:
high consumption of fruits, vegetables, bread and other cereals, potatoes, beans, nuts and seeds
olive oil is an important monounsaturated fat source
dairy products, fish and poultry are consumed in low to moderate amounts, and little red meat is eaten
eggs are consumed zero to four times a week
wine is consumed in low to moderate amounts
Does a Mediterranean-style diet follow American Heart Association dietary recommendations?
Mediterranean-style diets are often close to our dietary recommendations, but they don't follow them exactly. In general, the diets of Mediterranean peoples contain a relatively high percentage of calories from fat. This is thought to contribute to the increasing obesity in these countries, which is becoming a concern.
People who follow the average Mediterranean diet eat less saturated fat than those who eat the average American diet. In fact, saturated fat consumption is well within our dietary guidelines.
More than half the fat calories in a Mediterranean diet come from monounsaturated fats (mainly from olive oil). Monounsaturated fat doesn't raise blood cholesterol levels the way saturated fat does.
The incidence of heart disease in Mediterranean countries is lower than in the United States. Death rates are lower, too. But this may not be entirely due to the diet. Lifestyle factors (such as more physical activity and extended social support systems) may also play a part.
Before advising people to follow a Mediterranean diet, we need more studies to find out whether the diet itself or other lifestyle factors account for the lower deaths from heart disease.
Atkins Diet
Atkins is an amazing diet where you will never go hungry again yet still lose weight. This is not a gimmick or the latest fad. The Atkin's Diet has been around for decades. Most people will lose 10-30 pounds in the first month! How do they do it? They eat all the meat, cheese, eggs, and fats (like butter and oils) until they are full. There is no calorie counting or using tasteless low fat foods. There is no starvation. What is the trick you may ask? Limiting carbohydrates in your daily food intake.
The amazing thing with following the Atkin's plan, not only can you eat delicious food and feel satisfied, but you will feel better mentally and physically. Your energy level will increase, and you may discover that your food cravings have relinquished and the need for comfort foods is no longer necessary.
Slimming World
Slimming World is the most advanced slimming organisation in the UK. It was founded in 1969 by Margaret Miles-Bramwell, who remains the driving force behind the company to this day.

F-Plan
F Plan diet
First published in 1982, The F-Plan Diet plan almost immediately became a popular success as it is based on low-fat, high carbohydrate principles. This is still supported by many nutritionists so read our simple review.
The theory behind the F Plan diet plan is that fibre fills the stomach, quells pangs of hunger and reduces the desire to overeat. It also recommended restricting daily calories to 1000 so if followed strictly it represented a healthy weight loss plan.
The F plan diet plan placed great emphasis on the amount of fibre consumed. In weight loss terms this is useful because as the body doesn't use fibre as source of energy it is never stored away as fat if we eat too much. However, it is also essential to general wellbeing because it slows down the digestive system and is another important way of introducing water into our bodies.
Since the 1980s research has made scientists more aware of the important role it play in the maintenance of health - particularly the heath of the bowel.
For the bowels to work properly, we need a minimum of one ounce of dietary fibre a day. There are two types: insoluble and soluble. Insoluble fibre is good for keeping bowel motions regular: it is found in wholegrain and wholemeal breads and cereals, and fruit skins. Soluble fibre is good for lowering cholesterol: it is found in beans, pulses, oats, and bananas. Many vegetables and fruits contain a mixture of the two, which is one of the reasons it makes good nutritional sense to eat five portions of fruit and vegetables every day.

Beverley Hills Diet
Beverly Hills Diet
The Beverly Hills Diet is a combination diet that relies on specific chemical reactions within the body. Nuts and fruits are the main ingredients and according to this diet, certain fruits create specific reactions in your body: papaya softens fat, pineapple burns it off, and watermelon flushes it out the body.
What's on the Beverly Hills Diet Menu?
For the most part you eat fruit by itself and never mix it with proteins. This way the food is properly digested. For the first 10 days, only fruit is permitted. Then on day 11, you can only have carbohydrates. Not until day 19 can you actually eat protein.
People who like eating fatty foods and can't stand counting calories should enjoy this diet.
