Absinthe is Everything that It's Rumored to Be... and More!
Absinthe is the most historic drink you will ever find. Besides it's amazing natural green color, it was banned in the U.S. because it contains thujone, an ingredient that could be lethal if taken in high doses. After almost 100 years, it was decided that the amount of thujone is not dangerous. The result? The world's most controversial drink is legal everywhere, including the U.S.! To celebrate, we have narrowed down the 200 different brands and have had the best time doing it!
#1 - Absinthe Original Bitter Spirit
We like to start the night off with the best.
Where to find it: www.originalabsinthe.comThis is at the top of the list because, well, it's the best. Oh, you were looking for more details. Alright, how about a 200 year old absinthe recipe from the Czech Republic that has been compared to the rarest of the French cognacs? Yeah, now you look impressed. We can go on and on about the ingredients, such as angelica, aniseed, fennel, hyssop and of course wormwood, but honestly the only way to confirm that this is the best absinthe is to try it yourself.
Life is full of adventures, don't miss this one!
#2 - Absinthe Segarra
There is no time like the present to try something new.
Where to find it: www.absinthe-online.comGetting your hands on a bottle of Segarra Absenta is a fun challenge by itself because quantities are limited and demand is high. But when you do get the bottle in between your hands, you will achieve ultimate bliss. Not only is this is the best absinthe from Spain, it is considered one of the top in the entire world. The coolest part is that its color comes from the natural ingredients because they do not include any artificial colors in the mix.
Indulge yourself in Absinthe Segarra.
#3 - La Clandestine
Even the name sounds exciting.
Where to find it: www.absinthe-online.comIt is very rare to meet someone who has actually tried La Clandestine. We have to admit that we were a little intimidated by this very high-class absinthe. But then our curiosity got the best of us and we jumped right in. Wow! This bottle contains 72% alcohol and has a very strong taste, which makes some people very very happy. And happy is what you will be when La Clandestine arrives at your door.

#4 - Absinth King of Spirits Gold
Experience what the fuss is all about.
Where to find it: www.absinth.bzWith a name like King of Spirits, you know you're getting some fancy absinthe. Apparently this is the recipe that the uber famous favor because the official website boasts names like Picasso, Hemingway and Bob Dylan as a few of the fans. We were lucky enough to get our hands on the King and recommend it to anyone who can afford it or who wants to really impress their friends.
This absinthe will change everything.
#5 - La Fee Parisienne
When in Paris...
Where to find it: www.eabsinthe.comThis Paris recipe is the only absinthe endorsed by the Musee de l'Absinthe so if you are worried that other absinthes might be imitations, drink La Fee. This is our favorite bottle coming out of France and it did have a very smooth and balanced taste. Again, it's not at the top of the list, but if you are just starting out and want to taste a variety of absinthes, make sure that La Fee is one of them.
Be a part of history.
