What Is The Best Bedroom TV On The Market?

Some people would argue that a bedroom is a room of serenity, peace and quiet. To them a TV doesn't have a place in the bedroom.

I have got to tell you that I once thought like that, but having installed the Panasonic 26-inch LCD TV pictured above in my bedroom, I've changed my mind. It's Perfect!

Question is then - what is the best size TV for a bedroom? Well - in most bedrooms you'll be sitting no more than 15 feet away from the TV - so I would say 26-inch, possibly lower, because a bigger TV would be too dominant.

The problem is that most of the main manufacturers tend to only go down to the 26-inch size, and no matter what anyone says, their TV's are better and well worth the extra few dollars you'd have to pay. It's not just a case of paying for the name.

Once you've gone ahead and treated yourself to a new bedroom TV, you need to consider how you're going to get a good signal through to it.

You may have to put up an antenna - and today just putting up any old antenna wouldn't do the trick - it needs to be an antenna with digital reception.

Also, if you want to view movies from a DVD player, you'll need to get yourself either a SCART cable, or even better, a HDMI cable. If you chose the last option you need to make sure that your DVD player has a HDMI output, but most newer models will have that.

Finally, you may want to put your new bedroom TV up on a wall mount, rather than it taking up space on one of your bedroom furniture units.
