"Burgers & Beers" is all about finding the best burger in every town - A cool by-product of this quest is the emergence of thousands of highly specialized tribes of folks who appreciate the value of a great Burger served with a Beer
If you're here, you probably appreciate a great hamburger . . . and if you like a great Burger, you probably (but not necessarily) also enjoy a Beer with your Burger . . .
We are a small band of Burgers and Beers enthusiasts in Nashville, TN.
This "tradition" is now becoming more of a "movement" and less of a casual relationship with burgers . . . We LOVE Burgers and Beer sufficiently that we selflessly have bestowed upon ourselves the great honor of identifying (and tasting) the BEST Burgers and Beer throughout the world.
What we know is that we are currently relatively strong in number, and we know that not all burgers are created equally . . . We need help!
Our hope is that with this lens, we will successfully entice people in cities all around the world to gather small tribes of orthodox "Burgers and Beers" advocates who will commit to a monthly quest of finding the BEST burgers and Beer in their respective towns and report their findings back to us.
In this way, we can visit lots of cities and find the best burgers easily.
We will publish these findings on this site and pledge to make every effort to taste every "best burger" in the land with the ultimate goal of finding the BEST BURGER IN THE WORLD. You, too, will have free and easy access to the list and thus can weigh in on the determination of the overall winner.

A by-product of this quest may be emergence of new relationships both business and personal, and so this is as much a "Social Experiment" as it is a culinary review.
The important thing to keep in mind is that this effort may take YEARS to accomplish. We must ALL buckle down and commit to eating at LEAST ONE great burger each month . . . and diligently report our findings . . . God forbid that any 2 of us have to eat a bad burger . . . the reporting is CRITICAL to the success of the mission.

Determined to be the FLAGSHIP Tribe of this effort
We take our responsibilities VERY seriously and have pledged to gather at a new place that serves Burgers on the 3rd Thursday of each month. We know that we will get the best service and quality of food (and beer) if we arrive just after the main lunch rush, and so our meeting time is to be 1:00 PM.
We will ask opinions of our server and will trust his/her advice and counsel . . . We will also observe any other food we see being served to the tables near us to help with our choices . . . We will not be "above" asking people at neighboring tables how they are enjoying their meals.
Our goal is to get nothing but the BEST menu items (BURGERS) . . . Our complete attention is to maximizing our experience.There is very little margin for error here because we know that there are many thousands of places to find burgers.
THIS is SERIOUS business.
As we enjoy our burgers (and Beer) we also know that we must justify this time away from our "real jobs" and will therefore engage in obligatory "networking" - After all, if we are not all successful in our respective businesses, who will pay the tab?
Finally, we pledge to serve as hosts for any other Burgers and Beers Tribe members visiting from other cities so as to take them IMMEDIATELY to the BEST Burgers (and Beer) in Nashville

- April 09 - http://www.goldrushnashville.com/ - Had the Jalapeno Cheese Burger - FRESH (not pickled) jalapenos and a nicely charbroiled burger on a lightly toasted bun . . . This was the first stop for us. . .and we are absolutely excited - Who cares about the restaurant itself? It's a "used to be" bar-fight establishment turned good food and still slightly greasy but awesome personality bar food and beer place in a hip part of Nashville. We HIGHLY recommend this.

It's the culmination of some of the greatest business minds (and discriminating palates) on the planet
It all started when I (Barry) met Jaron . . . Jaron was moving to Nashville from Los Angeles, CA where he had a regular "burgers and Beers" meeting with some VERY high profile people. They literally SCOURED LA for the best Burger . . .
We pledged to each other that after Jaron made his move to Nashville we would together embark on the quest for the best burger in Nashville.
My professional training as a REALTOR caused me to think of the business Lead Generating potential of this effort . . . What better way to find a new client other than while enjoying a great burger?

- The best burgers in Fargo come from Burger Time, but you can't get beer, there. In fact, you can't even go inside the little shack, although many people park and eat in their cars.
