PhotobucketCanon EOS 40D 10.1MP Digital SLR Camera (Body Only) had a rebel xti previously and i thought rebel gives me very nice photos but when i experienced the 40d i just can't believe how much clearer and better the results. i really like the size too, i have a big hand and now i got a good grip of the camera unlike with rebel half of my palm is like hanging. also the camera has some nice extra features like you can put it on high iso and it has built in noise reduction which you can turn on and off. really nice if you're not into flash photography. there's a lot more nice features in it, i have to say it's really worth the money.

Good Pictures Flimsy Battery Cover, Bad On/Off, Grainy Screen
Just got this today. Would give the camera casing a 3 star rating, but the photo quality is excellent. It iiiis true what they say about the on/off switch. What a pain to push it in, but my complaint is the battery covering. It feels so flimsy that it could fall off with the slightest bang. When I closed it, it appeared to be slightly out of line. I immediately checked the length of the warranty, which says 1 year, so we will se what happens. I snapped a couple of test shots in low lighting and the pictures came out great and very sharp, despite the incredibly grainy preview image on the screen. Gonna keep it though because I have faith in Canon and the photos came out great...

I've always been a Nikon man but........
...this Canon is excellent. I am still discovering all the possible settings and options, but just shooting in 'auto' mode does a bang-up job.

I had the chance to use the 'red-eye' correction in the camera iteslf and it is supurb. The actual picture if used in raw mode (largest and most detailed) displays as 65" wide in Adobe Photoshop. When cropped to 8x10 or 11x14", the detail is awesome.

If you are on the fence about which digital camera to buy, I can assure you that you will be estatic with this Canon SD990IS.

I cannot see any way to improve upon it other than perhaps a slightly larger LCD display and maybe a 6X optical zoom. But just the way it is guarantees that you will truly love this little guy. It is that good.

If you told me 2 years I would be able to take pictures like this with a digital camera I would have told you that you were crazy. The quality of the pictures I am taking with this little point and shoot camera is amazing. The auto settings are great. It's almost not worth tweaking the settings unless you are going for a specific effect.

Wonderful Digital Camera
I totally enjoy this camera. I bought it for a trip and took thousands of pictures. It takes beautiful sunset, underwater pictures & video, and floral pictures, besides the normal pictures. I also liked the ISO3200 setting to take wildlife pictures in motion, such as butterflies, hummingbirds & bees. I only wish the camera had a view finder like the older version. I enjoyed the video setting, but just make sure you have a big memory card to hold all your data. Im still learning all the camera can do for me (had it for 1 month). It is amazing how you can take such a small camera and take award winning photos in (using the wp-dc24 waterproof case) & out of the water. Great buy!!

I have to say, I am totally and utterly in love with my camera. I bought this beauty in Feb of this year (2009). I bought it along with a couple of lenses and a speedlight. It is very easy to learn on. The camera takes wonderful photo's. Any issues have been totally user related. That camera does exactly what it is told to do. The software it comes with is easy to use. What more can I say, I just LOVE it!

Best camera I've ever had.
I'm really an amatuer at photography, but I do like to take pictures as a hobby. I was using a Nikon Coolpix 8200. It was good for family pictures of days at the park, but I really needed something that I could get a good zoom with and detail. I shopped for a long time and settled on the H50. It's everything that I need. It takes awesome pics without having to put a lot of thought into it. It is just about the perfect medium between SLR and point and shoot.

PhotobucketCanon Powershot A2000IS 10MP Digital Camera I have always loved Canon. Before the A2000 I owned a Powershot A80. I knew right away what brand I would buy next. So far it has given me great shots, very detailed and clear. Having cats that move a lot and a child that does the same the feature "kids & pets" works great. No more red demon eyes or glowing eyes from my cats. Although on my older camera it had a fold out window to view which was very convenient for taking self pics and plus keeping the screen from getting damaged however the 3" screen is amazing and great for seeing every shot perfectly before you shoot. The overall smaller size of the new camera verses the old is ok I guess. I kinda of miss the right hand gripping feature a little. Other than that I couldn't be more happy about it. Some people have said that the lag between each picture is long but I don't see much of a problem with it. Maybe try replacing batteries (I use rechargeable) and moving down the picture view time to 2 secs. Also, seeing as this camera runs over $200 at local retailers the deal for $165 on Amazon was great. I also purchased an 8GB card and I got everything for under $190 all including shipping. I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone.
