I decided to redo my garage a while ago, which included installing strong wall shelving that would hold all sorts of heavy things like toolboxes. I was very excited to try out my Dewalt DW920k-2 7.2 volt cordless power screwdriver to secure the shelving into the garage studs. This obviously required rather large wood screws, and I wasn't sure if the little cordless screwdriver would have enough power. I was very impressed! As you may know, fastening 3 inch screws into a 2x4 is not an easy task, and using a full sized drill doesn't make it much easier. The Dewalt handles this like a charm; all in a light and compact package. The torque adjustment feature allows the tool to work well in any situation. On a light setting you can handle the most delicate job without causing any damage. Theres a perfect clutch setting for every job. The only two problems that I have encounter using the Dewalt are the batteries and the quick release chuck. The batteries are NiCad instead of lithium ion, which makes me less confident about their reliability; although I haven't noticed a performance decline just yet. The chuck is a bit more of a problem since it releases the bit when the sleeve is pushed back toward the tool. Unfortunately this can happen inadvertently if it is bumped or in your belt.
