Best Dog Foods

When it comes to dog foods, there are several types of food, flavors, and brands to make dog food comparisons from.  It can be a difficult process selecting the best dog food brands to maintain your dog's health.  Luckily for dog owners, there are dog food reviews that can help you decide what are the best dog foods to feed your dog.

There are three kinds of dog foods, but of course, natural dog foods are best for your dog.  Despite what the TV ads may depict, almost all commercial dog food is bad dog food.  The best dog foods generally contain only fresh, natural and wholesome ingredients.  There are several benefits to choosing natural balance dog foods over other kinds of food.

There have been a number of dog food reviews and scientific studies that have shown that the best dog food ingredients are meat-based protein.  You will find that in many dog food brands the main ingredient is corn meal, flour or corn gluten meal.

When looking into dog food reviews, you need to look for high quality food that will keep your dog healthy.  A side benefit of this, of course, is that the best dog foods will also keep your dog's coat healthier and shinier.  Your dog will also have fewer digestive problems, and firmer stools (easier to clean up!).  The kinds of meat-based proteins you should look for when looking for the top ten dog foods, is chicken, turkey, and white rice or brown rice.

There are numerous different dog food brands on the market to choose from.  Many dog food reviews show that one of the best kinds is Life's Abundance Premium Health Food for Dogs.   Popular brands are not necessarily the best dog food brands.  Commercial brands such as Hills dog food, Nutro dog food, Purina dog food and Pedigree dog food are in general very poor quality food for your dog.  Home made dog food is a great option, but when it comes to packaged dog foods, you need to look for brands like Life's Abundance, as well as other premium brands such as Sojos dog food, Honest Kitchen dog food, and Flint River Ranch dog food.

Why?

Life's Abundance has a high antioxidant formula and three sources of premium protein.  The sources of protein include chicken meal, egg and fish meal.  Even better than what is included is what is not included in this dog food, which does not include corn, wheat, dairy or by-products.

Sojos Dog Food Mix is a blend of wholesome grains, herbs, nuts and sea vegetables.  To add protein to this European style pet food mix, you should add your own fresh meat and, if you wish, some raw or steamed vegetables as well.  As with Life's Abundance, Sojos Dog Food Mix does not contain fillers, preservatives, flavors or any other undesirable dog food ingredients.

I have a lot of dogs and I feed them all a Raw diet. I little more work in the area of preparation, but a lot less stool to clean up and almost no odor. My dogs love the raw food and they look great on it.

Have you read the books on the BARF dog food diet? Many of my friends are not keen on raw food for dogs, but it's the only thing I'd feed my dog now.
