great holiday cookie recipe

This is a great , easy and a lot of cookies in this mix. You can seperate it and make different types of cookies. It's real easy I used it when I sold pampered chef and was showing off the stones and cooling rack cookie dipper and more. Pampered chef makes cookies so easy. Any way that is where I learned this recipe. It has a lot of butter in it so if you're diet doesn't permit it don't use this recipe!
What you need is 1 white cakek mix. 2 cups of all purpose flour. and 4 sticks of butter. I prefer a stone to bake my cookies on, and I use a cooling rack. You will need a measuring cup and pan to melt butter in. large mixing bowl and mixer or hand whisk whichever you want to do. preheat oven to 350, and you are ready to go.

RECIPE
mix the cake mix and the flour in bowl mix it well. put 2 of the sticks of butter in pan on medium heat. Wait for the butter to melt then take it off heat, and place remaining 2 sticks of butter in pan. This allows them to melt slower, and makes it thicker and creamier. After the butter melts pour it all in the dry mix, and mix. This is the basic recipe yoiu can bake them like this with sugar on them for good sugar cookies, or sugar and cinnamon for snicker doodles. Always allow cookies to cool on rack.
I am going t ogo into some variations in the lens. divide dough up into 1/3. If yoiu are going to be using cutters on any of the dough take that portion and roll it out on wax paper, then roll it up and place in freezer 20 minutes.

thumb print cookies

A seasonal favorite, buttery balls of dough are rolled in toasted nuts and filled with jam. These little gems get their name from the fact you use your "thumb" to make an indentation into each ball of dough for the jam. What I do is take 1 tbsp of lemon peel put into 1/3 of the cookie dough I seperated. Mix well and roll into balls, and roll into chopped nuts. Place on cookie sheet and make thumb print in the middle. In the thumb print place your favorite jam, and bake at 350 for 12 minutes.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm goood

peanut butter and chocolate chip!

Now for the other two variations I do. tTo both of the 1/3 mixes left add to each a 1/2 cup of brown sugar. set one aside and to one add 2/3 cup of peantu butter. Place on stone roiund balls press them down with fork making a criss cross pattern. bake at 350 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Chocolate chip cookies. Take the other remaining dough with the brown sugar added and add a 16oz. bag of chocolate chips. Youi may have to add a tbsp or two of water after mixing it up. Then place round balls on stone and bake 12 minutes at 350. remember to use your cooling racks.
Lets see with one recipe I told yoiu how to do sugar cookies, snickerdoodles, peanut buter cookies, thumb print cookies, and chocolate chip cookies. These are really good cookies. try some and let me know.
