Tommy Hilfiger has featured dirty blondes in a lot of his runway collections and it seems they pair well with soft hairstyles that make you think of the 30s and the 40s in a big way. These strikingly feminine styles give the air of sophistication not seen lately.

Kate Moss has once again made headlines with her color, and if you remember she actually took world by storm with her fringe cut. But now, she's got a platinum blonde look that is just awesome and has a bob to go with the fringe. Even though you could probably wear it all year long, you should probably think of something different after summer goes out.

Dirty blonde isn't the only color that's coming in strong for fall of 2008 - we're also seeing a lot of auburns. Stay away from the intense red and get the more subdued auburn or even burgundy or maroon. You want something that is a nice blend of red and brown that would look natural on you. Auburn is definitely the color to go with during the trans-seasonal change between 2008 and 2009.

Finally, men are having a blonde fashion trend coming their way. The key here is to make it blonde, and not platinum blonde like for the women or even white. It has to be that nice, golden yellowish blonde color so people will know it was deliberate.

Coloring your hair can be a fun and rewarding experience, and if you're not comfortable with doing it then you should certainly seek a professional. But, if you like to experiment with your hair and even if maybe you're on a budget or maybe you can't be around when your hair stylist is around, then coloring it yourself is a great idea. There are several advantages to doing it yourself or having a professional do it.
