What a good idea to create a list of the best self-help books. It's made better for it being something you are obviously passionate about. And better too for your obvious desire to ensure that others don't get waylaid by third-rate self-help books. If you don't mind me saying so, well done. And thank you.

This is a pretty awesome list you've compiled and reviewed. BTW, I adore your picture of a cat sitting up with a little laptop computer in it's lap! ~~Blessed~~

Lots of good resources on self help here. My favorite book on self help/personal success is Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. Don't be mislead by the title - riches are in every area of our lives.

"There is only one self help secret, it is all up to you.", now that is the best self help advice ever. Your very sincere story is the best testimonial I have ever heard for a book and you cover 10 to help others cut through the one's that really are only for putting money in the author's and publisher's pockets.
  • sabinamiller Apr 18, 2011 @ 1:15 pm | delete

Great list! Great lens. I like the Seven Habits book too. I think my all-time favorite self-help book is actually a pair of books. "LIving Deliberately" and "ReSurfacing," by Harry Palmer. Simple exercises that allow anyone to learn how to deliberately navigate, manage, and (if desired) restructure his/her own consciousness.
