You are spoilt for choice when it comes to model airplanes. They come in a wide range of sizes, types and price points. When you are choosing a model airplane(s) you need to consider who it is for. For example if you are buying a model airplane for a child you probably don't need to buy the most expensive model you can get nor does it necessarily need to be the most accurate model either.

If you are a collector or have a real passion for planes then something you will be looking for in a model airplane is the accuracy and attention to detail so that you buy a realistic model. Typically these models are a little pricier but they are worth it.
