Best of #twaiku on Twitter

It seems to me that Twitter, with its 140-character limit on messages, lends itself to the possibility of small, succinct poems. Haiku? I hesitate to use that term as much of what is tagged #haiku isn't. Same applies to #senryu. The term twaiku seems better as it suggests the idea of a captured essence of a moment, without necessarily fitting within the conventional definition of a haiku or senryu. (And whether the three-line 5-7-5 convention is a necessity is arguable.)

What I've selected here are purely my own choices. I've tried to choose 'twaiku' that are more than epigrams or cute descriptions of events. Not all are completely successful, but perhaps they suggest possibilities for exploration.
