Safety Spray That Works in the Face of an Attacker

There were 401,326 robberies in 2004. Highest percentage of these (38%) were in the South. 42% of the robberies occurred on the streets, 14% occurred in homes.

One of the most common and reliable forms of personal safety equipment is pepper spray. This is a spray that's used to keep an attacker at bay and give you time to get away and get help.

Pepper spray is actually made of a chemical found in peppers. However, in pepper spray it's very concentrated allowing it to have a powerful effect. When someone is sprayed in the face with pepper spray, it causes them to have pain and tearing in the eyes. It causes a type of temporary blindness that keeps an attacker from being able to continue his or her assault.

Pepper spray is perfect for carrying with you at all times. You can put it on a key chain, carry it in a purse, or hide it in a pocket. You can keep it ready when you're walking from a building to your car and have it work at a moment's notice.

The effect of pepper spray causes coughing, sneezing, eye irritation, and temporary blindness that can last for 30-45 minutes. That means you'll have the time you need to get far away from a criminal.

However, the effects are not permanent and it's non-lethal, so you don't need to worry about long-term consequences of using it.

Personal Taser Safety and Laws You Need to Know!

Is Pepper Spray Legal?

SPSafetyCenter.com

In most states in the Unites States, pepper spray can be purchased and used by anyone who's 18 years old or older. And in most states you can purchase it in any type of store - such as a superstore.

However, there are some restrictions in some states. For example, you may have to purchase your spray from a licensed dealer and then register it as you would another type of weapon.

There may also be restrictions about the amount and type of pepper spray you can purchase and carry. Some states also require that pepper spray have a safety that prevents it from going off unintentionally. In addition, you may also have to make sure that your pepper spray isn't camouflaged in any way.

The best thing to do before you purchase pepper spray is to make sure that you know what the laws are where you live. You can contact your state public safety department or your local police department to determine what's legal in your town.

Make sure that you follow any regulations to register your pepper spray. Otherwise, you'll be the one being fined for doing something illegal. As long as you follow your local laws, you should be able to carry pepper spray easily in order to ensure your protection.

How to Use Pepper Spray for Your Personal Safety

SPSafetyCenter.com

Pepper spray is fairly simple and easy to use.

You'll simply aim the spray at your attacker and press down on the release. The pepper spray will usually release for a specific amount of time and release a specific amount of the chemical.

You'll want to make sure you're close enough to your attacker so that the spray will actually reach their face. Some sprays will reach at least 8 feet from you. However, the closer you are the better. Just make sure that you hold the canister at least six inches in front of your body so that you won't be too close to it.

Try not to spray the pepper spray all over the air. You'll want to really aim it at the attacker's face. Spray from side to side so that you spray both eyes and reach the nose.

Once you've sprayed the first time, wait a few seconds. In some cases you'll need to spray a second time in order to stop your assailant completely. Once you're sure that your attacker is incapacitated by the pepper spray, you need to make a break for it. Run away as fast as you can and summon help.

Finding the Best Pepper Spray for Your Security

SPSafetyCenter.com

When it comes to choosing the best pepper spray, there are several factors you should consider. First and foremost, make sure that you know the laws where you live so that you make a legal purchase.

You want to make sure you purchase a pepper spray that has at least a 10% concentration. It should have a heat rating of at least 2 million SHU. This will ensure that your attacker will feel the most effect.

Next you can decide on the type of case you'd like to purchase. Pepper spray can come in plain canisters, such as Pepper Shot, that can attach to your key chain or be put in your pocket or wallet. But it also comes in camouflaged forms that are more discreet.

For example, you can purchase The Stunning Ring that looks like a piece of jewelry. However, it contains powerful pepper spray that can be used against an attacker. The ring can also be refilled.

The Pepper Pen looks like an ordinary writing pen, but it contains pepper spray. You can conceal it easily in a pocket or purse. The Lipstick Pepper Spray looks like an ordinary lipstick case, but contains powerful pepper spray.

The Pepper Pager looks like a traditional pager that you can clip to your belt. However, it also delivers pepper spray to an attacker. It's an easy way to camouflage your pepper spray so that an assailant won't know what's coming.
