TV commercials, when done well can be 60 second masterpieces of ingenuity, wit and artistry. When poorly produced they can be annoying and devoid of merit.
In North America we don't see some of the great commercials released in foreign countries and some are fantastic.
Let's take a look at the famous, the infamous, the funny, the sad, the poignant and even the banned.

There is a TV commercial (for Uptons Furniture) that I really loved. It features a man and his wife reading and relaxing on the sofa together. The woman playfully kicks her husband with her foot repeatedly. To get back at her, he then pulls her socks off and tickles her feet. Afterwards, they cuddle and kiss eachother. This commercial aired in the Spring of 1994. If anyone has a recording of this commercial, I would love to see it; it is a great commercial. Thanks!

The VW Cabrio Commercial with the two couples driving to a party at night beneath a stary sky. To me the music, Pink Moon by Nick Drake made the commercial. VW commercials are the best! :)
