I suggest starting with an accountability partner. Being accountable to someone other than yourself is like have a safely rail that keeps someone from falling over the clif to the depths of no return. Be open, honest and transparent with your partner and you will achieve the best results. Use moderation in each new habit you decide to change. Don't make your goals impossible to reach and maintain. A steady consistent attempt to get healthy and maintain your health is best achieved by changing one bad habit at a time. Once you have accomplished one goal, then set another goal and start on that new goal. Keep doing this one day at a time until you wake up one morning and realize that you feel like a brand new person .
