Makeup Junkie

I am writing this lens to confess to the world my addiction to makeup! My brother used to make jokes about the bathroom we shared when we where growing up and he called the bathroom "Beth's Beauty Boutique" because I had so many cosmetics, perfumes and just alot of makeup!

Try to guess what my profession was for almost 20 years. You guessed it "A Cosmetologist". I went to beauty school and learned every aspect in the beauty field.

My favorite things to do in the beauty field were you guessed it again, Makeup Application and Hair Color!

I am now semi retired and have a wealth of knowledge about the beauty industry.

I will share my favorite cosmetics with you, give you lots of makeup tips, videos on makeup application and where to buy great products.

I love Mineral Makeup. I have tried Bare Escentuals, Youngblood and Marykay made one too, Out of all three I would have to say the Bare Escentuals is my favorite, because the color seems to match my skin tone perfectly and it is not too glowy. Bare Escentuals tends to have a little glow to it, but it is very subtle and the glow actually gives you a healthy look.

Mineral Makeup is made of micronized, highly reflective crystals, mineral cosmetics reflect light to smooth fine lines and blemishes. And since mineral cosmetics are made with pigments from the earth, they're much healthier than cosmetics containing petroleum dyes.

Mineral cosmetics also have sun protective properties, so they keep your skin healthy and youthful. Minerals do not support the growth of bacteria or microbes, and pose a lower risk of allergic reaction. In fact, minerals are great for use on skin recovering from harsh medical procedures, and on problem skin conditions like rosacea, acne, and discoloration.
Mineral makeup is irritant-free and it is also weightless and incredibly long-wearing, and you can sleep in it!

I love it.

It does not clog my pores and it has a naturally high SPF. And it provides excellent coverage.

Mineral makeup doesn't feel heavy at all or feel like you have a cake feeling on your face.

Sometimes dark circles are caused by pigmentation, but you can fix them with topical creams that contain Hydroquinone or retinoids or you can get laser treatments. You can get Hydroquinone and retinoids from your dermatologist or you can try Avene Retrinal H.A.F Gel, $40, which contains retinaldehyde, and pH Advantage Pigmentation Fader, $55, which contains hydroquinon). If you want a quicker fix laser is the way to go. But, It is very expensive.

You can also use concealer to cover it up. I like Benefit's get even blotting powder concealer
