HERE'S WHAT I THINK

Horror Movies has there ever been a good one?

I'm a bit of a horror movie buff! However, I haven't been able to find one that actually gives me a good SCARE! I think the movie producers have run out of good ideas. I would love to write a horror movie that would scare the living s#*t out of people. I have a few ideas in my twisted little mind. What do you think?

(////>*)

ace8313 says:

Try the blair witch project.... And have a good scare!!! ^_^

Ton says:

There are so many great horror movies, it's hard to choose just one that is greater than another so I'm going to have to go with one that never gets boring no matter how many times I watch it. "The Shining", a timeless classic.

AprilLuvsAaronStanford says:

I love horror movies. my fav is the hills have eyes (the first one) also I love aaron stanford cuz he was in it.

havanotha says:

yup

Megan says:

hello??? the old classics...friday the 13th, halloween, night on elm street and the list goes on
maybe not classed as scary anymore but if ur films are still being re-made and having more sequels added 30 years down the line u know u did a great job

Mellowd says:

I watched Let The Right one In the other day. It was kind of strange but seemed more of a love story to me.

M-Jizzle says:

YES!
-Resident Evil (1, 2, & 3)

megan says:

im shaking before the movie starts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

keepitreal12 says:

Alfred Hitchcock made some good SUSPENSE movies. But unfortunately, he was not the best at making the most scary movies of all time. I think that Psycho is probably th closest to horror.

Morgan Allen says:

The Jackal of Thirt13en ghosts

jesse says:

i dont know why but horror movies arnt scarie

Justred says:

Try Splinter. Might give u huge scares but its creepy as hell!

JupiterJustice says:

Turn the sound up kiddies and have fun with the house of 1000s corpses (Monsters, Thrills, and Chills.) Also sit in the dark with this bad boy American werewolf in london.

BRooke says:

I actually really liked "The Others" but you're right...not SUPER scary...although, in "The Shining" when those twins appear in the hallway...scary.

harryfielder says:

I've seen many good horrors over the years and even got to act in a few of them. See bio

Aitch UK

Mellowd says:

I saw both of those movies the other day (the ruins and shutter) they were both pretty good I must say i enjoyed Shutter much better.

Scott says:

I liked the ruins and shutter too, neither were scary but very entertaining. The ruins I guess is based on a best selling book(both my parents read it) so when they said they wanted to watch a horror movie I laughed.

Scott

No way, Monkeybrain!

Taco person says:

i found that newer ones are pretty good but most of the people annoy me in them. but not zombi movies those are always really good for gore and u just cant go wroug with them. dead house 2 was awesome for gore and a lil twisted.

StrangeConversation says:

yes...plenty! The Exorcist is not only good, it's great. It's also not only one of the best horror films but one of the best films ever made...period!

vintage_101 says:

hehehehee

c_randall says:

"Let the Right One In" is pretty creepy.

KevinRiley says:

You must watch Japanese horror movies. The suspense, good timing on the shock. I've watched some where I still jump out of my skin on the 3rd viewing. Yuo won't find the mindless Hollywood slashing.

MindGuru says:

I loved Rosemary's Daughter. That's qualifies as horror, right?

Cpt.Awesome says:

it all depends on age. like if your nine years old and watch child play for the first time, you get scared.

but otherwise i agree.

Dr-Cornelius says:

You are mostly, but not totally, correct. The Haunting (1963) is a movie that I dare you to watch alone in the dark and not be scared.

Mortira says:

Even though some people thought "The Ring" was corny - murder by TV?? - it was so eerie and creepy. The story line, the images, the music: it scared the pants off me! I think there's a big difference between scary and gross.

noway says:

thers a few but cloverflied was s!"3

Oosquid says:

Horror Movies has there ever been a good one?

Yes, and lots of them - but what I call good may not be what you call good.

The thing with horror films is that if they are really bad they can be so bad that they are good :-) 'Plan 9" being a classic example.

I agree that buckets of blood and special effects does not a good horror flick make, they need to be interesting too, but I'd say that there are plenty out there that are worth watching.

Evelyn_Saenz says:

Great Lens! 5 stars and favored!

Fancy Nancy loves your lens and movies like Love Actually where you can relax and feel better after watching them. Horror Movies are just not her thing.

13 GHOSTS

13 Ghosts is one of my favorites.

13 Ghosts is a state-of-the-art remake of the classic William Castle horror film about a family that inherits a spectacular old house from an eccentric uncle. There's just one problem: the house seems to have a dangerous agenda all its own. Trapped in their new home by strangely shifting walls, the family encounters powerful and vengeful entities that threaten to annihilate anyone in their path. Soon the family is joined by an offbeat ghost hunter who is determined to free the spirits imprisoned in the house. Caught in a frantic race to save themselves before it is too late, the human inhabitants realize the house is a riddle which contains the key to their imminent salvation - or destruction.

13 Ghosts is directed by Steve Beck and produced by Joel Silver, Dan Cracchiolo, Gil Adler and Robert Zemeckis.

13 Ghosts stars F. Murray Abraham, Tony Shalhoub, Shannon Elizabeth, Kathryn Anderson, J.R. Bourne, Embeth Davidtz, Rah Digga, Matthew Lillard and Alec Roberts.

13 Ghosts The Jackal

My favorite:The Jackal-the Charlie Manson of ghosts.

I found the Jackal ghost to be particularly scary. Played superbly by Shayne Wyler the Jackal is an escapee from a turn-of-the century lunatic asylum. Wearing a tattered straight jacket and a cage over his head he truly is what nightmares are made of.
