Rankmark Names G.R.I.P.'s OWT Wide Sole Irons the "Best of the Best" for 2007
GRAFTON, MASS - October 22, 2007 - Golf Research In Play (G.R.I.P.), a golf equipment manufacturer and an online-focused retailer dedicated to developing and offering the finest quality golf clubs, today announced that Rankmark, America's premier golf testing company, recently honored G.R.I.P.'s OWT Wide Sole Irons with its 2007 "Best of the Best" Award.

Special "Best of the Best" Iron Test
Over the last few months, Rankmark conducted its Special Iron Test to determine its 2007 "Best of the Best" Award winners. With the assistance of PGA Professional David Budney, Rankmark devised a new way to determine which iron sets are best for golfers to check out first, or in fact buy, when looking for a new set of clubs.
Rankmark selected 30 different iron sets to test under its new system. Some were well known for their high quality, while the others Rankmark selected were thought to be qualified but not as well known. A 15-point scoring system was then created for each player participating in the test to rank the clubs: 5 points for first, 4 points for second, 3 points for third, 2 points for fourth and 1 point for fifth.
After testing the 30 sets, the field was narrowed to the Top 8. Then, Rankmark added the Ping G-10 to the mix. Additional testing was conducted on this new field of nine. Each of the top clubs was honored with Rankmark's 2007 "Best of the Best" Award. The top clubs in alphabetical order are: Callaway Big Bertha, Cleveland Hybrid, G.R.I.P. OWT Wide Sole, King Cobra 3100 I/H, Nicklaus High CT, Nike OSS, Ping G-10, Titleist 775CB and Wedgewood IR Silver.
