The natural beauty of the area cannot be beaten. Fantastic rivers and water falls make Betws-y-Coed the most popular village to visit in Wales.

The Snowdon mountain range close by attract thousands of walkers and climbers every week-end. There is a very good choice of outdoor shops for all your clothing needs.

The large recreational area Tan Llan field in the centre of the village is great place to relax or play your favourite game.

The miniature railway and railway museum are very popular areas in the village. The latest edition is an electric Tram.

The Tourist Information Centre in the Royal Oak Stables offer help in finding accommodation for your stay. There is also a fantastic free video show of the Snowdonia mountains filmed from a helicopter, and is worth seeing. English and Welsh spoken versions.

Betws-y-Coed has its own 9 hole Gem Golf Course open to visitors. Set in beautiful surroundings with the River Conwy on one boundary.

If you are a Mountain Biking fan then there is the very popular Marin Trail which runs through the Gwydyr Forest. Also within a few miles drive is the challenging Penmachno Bike Trail.

A new Tree Top Adventure Course has recently opened and if you like high wire climbing amongst the tree tops then this is for you.

For all the fishing enthusiasts then there is plenty of Game fishing to be had on the local rivers and lakes. Day tickets can be obtained locally from the newsagents shop. Salmon and Sea Trout run the rivers Conwy & Llugwy from mid summer onwards. The local Betws-y-Coed Anglers Club lease some of the waters locally.

If shopping is your thing then there is a wealth of craft shops from Candle Making to Welsh Woolen goods, Delicatessen, Cafes and a new addition of an Art Gallery opening up for Easter in the centre of the village.
