A pampered Beverly Hills Chihuahua named Chloe who, while on vacation in Mexico, gets lost and must rely on her friends to help her get back home before she is caught by a mean Mexican dogcatcher who wants to use her to start a fur factory.A fun movie the kids will enjoy full of fun talking dogs that are just so adorable.

There is no doubt that this movie will have many people looking for a Chihuahua of their very own. Well that is great, but only if you do your research on the breed - this breed is not for everyone or every household. There are a lot of Chihuahua's in need of homes through rescue groups and a great source to find one is through Pet Finder. Chihuahuas are the 5th most-posted breed of dog for adoption on Petfinder (after Labs, Shepherds, Pit bulls and mixes of those breeds).Always try to adopt through a rescue or local shelter before going to a breeder. There are so many animals in need of loving homes and there are pure breds available and sometimes it is nice to have a mix.
A Chihuahua is the smallest breed of dog in the world and is named after the state of Chihuahua in Mexico. The usually get to about 12 to 15 inches tall and a weight of 10 pounds. We have seen many celebrities with this breed and other endorsements using this breed as well - like Taco Bell. It has made the Chihuahua a very popular little thing.
Do Note: Chihuahua's sometimes tend to not be a good choice with children - so once again do your research before choosing this breed of dog for your home.

My Brother in law has had the chance to work with them on two rescues : Katrina and most recent Ike. My in laws have also visited the Sanctuary and it is truly and amazing place run by amazing people who dedicate their lives to the well being of animals.
