History of China for Kids
This lens includes videos, activities, and books that introduce children to ancient Chinese culture. There are links to Chinese character flash card games, New Year celebrations, flag activities, and puzzles. The videos focus on the Silk Road and its role in making China an ancient trading power. How is silk made? See the actual silkworm make its cocoon and witness the process from there. This industry is shown from the perspective of other Asian cultures, not just China.
I will add shots from our own lapbook as we complete this unit for those who might want one idea in how to capture all of this information interactively. See the purpose of the architecture, and most of all, have fun!

- What the Ancients Knew: Silk Making
