Bible Stories Come Alive With Modern Day Technology

The power of video, digital cameras and the internet makes Bible study an adventure in vivid visual imagery!

But the stories are more than just history...they are the doorway that leads us to God's participation in our lives today. That legacy is a wonderful gift to pass on to our children.

My Bible lenses share the stories of how God has taught me about His word, and the difference it has made in my life. It's a journey that will lead you to a place of understanding why the Bible is important, and how it can change your life too.

Join me in learning the stories of some of the most famous Bible heroes, and see what they can teach us about everyday living. This is the story of Noah, and his assignment to build a ship. Not just any ship; but a really big ship!

Let's read on, and learn more about how it all happened.

Noah Walked With God... Wow, What a Conversation That Must Have Been!

Have you ever thought about that? The Bible tells us that Noah "walked with God."

Wow! Can you imagine that? First; Adam and Eve get to walk with God... now Noah, and later we will discover that Enoch also walked with God.

Did you ever wonder what God looks like? What His voice sounds like? Did you ever think about how long it took for God to give Noah the instructions for building the ark?

It's a HUGE boat, so I'm sure that God and Noah spent a lot of time going over the details.

Amazing... Noah sure did listen closely, didn't he? He built the ark just like God told him to. It was so well built, that after all these years, it's been found, buried in the mountains of Turkey!

Here are some videos to show you more about the details of the discovery....

The People Of The Earth Became So Wicked, God Said Everyone Had to Die

Before the days of Noah, the earth was pure, and lovely, and good. Completely good! Those were the days after God had created Adam and Eve, and the Garden of Eden was still their home.

Evil came in and caused Adam and Eve to have to leave the beauty of their garden home. Their life became very, very sad, and that sadness was passed on through their children to their grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren!

Each passing generation became more and more evil, and completely forgot about the God who had given them the beautiful earth to be their home.

It was a really bad time on earth...people were so wicked that God decided to get rid of everyone. The Bible says that God was SORRY that He had even created man!

But God Remembered Noah...

While God was thinking about destroying everything and everyone, He remembered that there was a good man on the earth. His name was Noah, and he was married and had three sons.

They were the only good and honest people left on the earth, and the only ones who remembered to worship the God that gives us life!

Everyone else was so bad that God decided to send a great flood to destroy the entire Earth. God had made his decision to destroy everyone, in order to destroy the evil. God remembered the goodness of Noah, and decided that He would trust Noah and his family with a very important assignment.

(Genesis 6-9)

Noah's Story Begins in Genesis 6

When men began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose.

Then the LORD said, "My Spirit will not contend with man forever, for he is mortal; his days will be a hundred and twenty years."

The Nephilim were on the earth in those days-and also afterward-when the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.

The LORD saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time.

The LORD was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain.

So the LORD said, "I will wipe mankind, whom I have created, from the face of the earth-men and animals, and creatures that move along the ground, and birds of the air-for I am grieved that I have made them."

But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.

Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked with God.

This is the account of Noah.
