Bible prophecy: The King is Coming

A. Antichrist
"A" stands for the Antichrist, the end times ruler who comes in the future. The Book of Revelation calls him simply "the Beast."

B. Blessed Hope
"B" stands for the Blessed Hope, which refers to the Rapture itself. "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ."

C. Conversion of Israel
"C" stands for the Conversion of Israel, one of the most powerful and controversial prophecies in the Bible.

D. Day of the Lord
"D" stands for the Day of the Lord. When the Bible talks about the Day of the Lord, it's talking about a terrible time that's coming in the future.

E. Eschatology
"E" stands for "Eschatology," which is the study of last things. The word "ology," means "the study of," and "eschatos" means the end times, or the last things.

F. False Prophet
"F" stands for the False Prophet. In the Book of Revelation, in the 13th chapter, we're told that in addition to the Antichrist, there will be a false religious leader who will deceive the whole world.

G. Glorious Appearing
One of the most amazing events in the Bible is represented by the letter "G", the Glorious Appearing, known as the Second Coming of Christ. This Appearing takes place when Jesus Comes back at the end of the Tribulation, when the glory of God appears in the Heavens.

H. Heaven and Hell
H for Heaven and Hell; you really can't talk about Heaven without talking about Hell. The two go hand in hand. In Hebrews 4, Jesus is pictured as our High Priest, who goes to Heaven ahead of us, and makes intercession on our behalf.

I. Israel
The first mention of the name "Israel" appears in Genesis 32:28, where Jacob is wrestling with the angel of the Lord, who tells him, "I'm changing your name from Jacob - a deceiver, a manipulator, a struggler - to Israel, a prince with God, one who struggles with God and who has prevailed."

J. Jerusalem
The letter "J" stands for Jerusalem. In 2 Samuel 5, David conquers Jerusalem from the Jebusites, makes it the capital of Israel, and calls it the city of David. In Psalm 122:6 it tells us "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem."

K. Kingdom of God
"K" stands for the Kingdom of God. God is ultimately the King that sits on the throne and rules nations of the world.

L. Lake of Fire
"L" stands for the Lake of Fire. It is one of the most serious, ominous prophecies in the Bible.

M. Millennium
The Millennium is that time of the reign of Christ on Earth. You will not find the word "Millennium" in the Bible or concordance.

N. New Jerusalem
The letter "N" stands for the New Jerusalem that is coming in the future.

O. Olivet Discourse
"O" stands for the Olivet Discourse. The prophecy of the Olivet Discourse is one of the most important prophecies in the entire Bible.

P. Prophets and Prophecy
The letter "P" stands for both Prophets and Prophecy. Peter, Jesus' disciple, said this in 2 Peter 1:21 "Prophecy did not come by the will of man in old time, by human ability, but by the Word of God."

Q. Quickly
"Q" stands for quickly. Jesus said, "Behold, I come quickly" (Revelation 3:11).

R. Rapture
"R" stands for the Rapture. You don't find the word "Rapture" in the English Bible, but you certainly fine it in the Greek New Testament.

S. Second Coming of Christ
"S" stands for the Second Coming of Christ, one of the clearest doctrines in the entire Bible. Jesus told the disciples in John 14, "I'm going back to the Father's house, to Heaven; and if I go, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself."

T. Tribulation
"T" stands for the Tribulation. In the Greek New Testament, we find the word "thlipsis," great trouble, great pressure, great Tribulation.

U. Unbelief
"U" stands for Unbelief. The message of the Bible is a wonderful message of hope, grace, salvation and eternal life. But on the other hand, it's a warning of judgment to come.

V. Vengeance
The letter "V" stands for "Vengeance." The Scripture says, "Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord." (Romans 12:19).

W. Wrath
The letter "W" stands for the Wrath of God. In the Book of Revelation, we have three expressions of wrath. The Scripture tells us that as Christ, the Lamb opens up the seals of judgment in the future. It's the wrath of the Lamb on an unbelieving world.

X. Xerxes
Actually, in the Bible, there's technically no X anywhere. Except in the newer translations, where the name "Ahasuerus," the husband of Ester, is translated as "Xerxes," because that's who he was, and the translators want you to understand that.

Y. Year of Jubilee
"Y" stands for the Year of Jubilee. The Year of Jubilee is a unique concept in the Bible. It's taught in Leviticus 25, that every seventh year was to be a year of Sabbath for the people of Israel.

Z. Zechariah
The letter "Z" stands for the Book of Zechariah. Zechariah was an unusual prophet, who comes after the Babylonian captivity, prior to the coming of Christ.
