Psalm 23

The LORD, the Psalmist's Shepherd.

A Psalm of David.

1.) (A Psalm of David.) The LORD [is] my shepherd; I shall not want.

2.) He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3.) He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the
paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4.) Yea, though I walk through the valley of the
shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou [art]
with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5.) Thou preparest a table before me in the
presence of mine enemies: thou anointest
my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6.) Surely goodness and mercy shall follow
me all the days of my life:and I will dwell in the
house of the LORD for ever.



The best way to be encouraged and inspired is to read a few chapters of the Bible each day.

Individual verses can be very inspiring, but immersing yourself in scripture on a daily basis will help you through the trials in life. If a certain Bible verse encourages you try reading the whole chapter along with that verse.

This will bring about a better understanding of the Bible as a whole. I believe the Bible is inspired by God. Everything in there is meant to be for our good and well being.

Psalm 23 is one of my very favorites in the scriptures. I can read it over and over and every time it brings about a sense of peace and joy to my soul.
