- Good lens except... your quotes from Genesis would have been originally written in Hebrew and should be understood in light of Hebrew to English translation rather than Hebrew to Aramaic and then finally into English.

- Thank you for the great lens and objective explanation of the bible. I have come accross similar explanations of bible scholars who have taught the bible for over thirty years.
What I don't understand in the bible are some rather strange stories e.g. Genesis 38: 15-18 involving Judas who begat Phares and Zara of Thamar in Mathew 1:3. I am not sure of the moral of the story in Genesis 38? Even more confusing the fact that the result of that story is included in the genealogy of Jesus?!
Thank you,

- I sadly have a problem with your interpretation of the Bible friend. Allow me to take your first article as an example. In studying the Bible, we come to realise, if we read more than one text at a time, that everything is written within a context. Now everything within Gen 1 is very litteral. The earth, the atmosphere, the plants, the animals, everything. Then if the light was not created on day number 1, what was? DId God just waste a day? The Bible is it's own interpreter. Every symbol used has a verse explaining it somewhere within the word of God itself. Thats why we read the Bible as a whole, and allow the word of God to tell us what the antichrist , the truth about the dead, and everything else is. We cannot just asume or place our own oppinion into the place of God's wisdom. 2 Peter 2:20-21 "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake [as they were] moved by the Holy Ghost."

- It is not my interpretation, your interpretation comes from the literal, seminary and Roman Influence.
While mine comes from religious studies, Archeoloy, history and those who spoke the language of the day. "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees", "Wo to you teachers of the Law". What do think he was trying to tell you? Do you think if thy hands offend the cut them off, means to cut off your hands, or do you think they exaggerated in the day of limited vocabulary to stress a point. If you have a habit of stealing it is really, really, important that you cut it out, may be a better explanation. "Jesus Spake with Authority, but, not like that of the scribes and Pharisees". (another clue) Not like the educated and religious authorities of the day. "Call no man father, no man teacher. (another clue)
The disciples and scribes of the day did not have the benefit of our expanded vocabulary derived from Greek , Latin, English, ect
The point of the article is that the Aramaic and Hebrew language is very simple and can be taken literal by those of supposed authority who did not speak it.
Jesus left no writings behind and Jesus spake as a laymen/carpenter

- God's Word is "The" Bible and is here to lead us to salvation! "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; that the man of God my be adequate, equipped for every good work."
II TIMOTHY 4:16,17
"There is one body and on Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one, faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all."
EPHESIANS 4:4-6
"But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contray to that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to that which you received, let him be accursed." GALATIANS 1: 8,9

- There is only one Truth, one God and one hope. The Bible says that God MUST be worshiped in 'Spirit' and 'Truth'. The Truth of the Bible is fairly straight forward as long as a person doesn't try to make it 'fit' the false doctrines that have been assimilated from pagan religions and taught as truth in the churches of Christendom today. The Apostasy started while the Apostles were still alive, but after they had all died, Satan has had a field day introducing worship, doctrines and traditions that are unacceptable to God into the churches. It was all prophesied to be that way and it certainly has come to be.

Jim
Dec 18, 2010 @ 5:31 am | delete
- In reading the whole Bible, we can know the future. Not in its details, but we can know what man has to look forward to. We 'know' that, just as in the days of Noah, a world system of things is going to be destroyed. Only this time, it will be God's Kingdom that will be ruling afterwards. We 'know' that there is going to be a resurrection. We 'know' that those who are willing to accept and apply God's will and standards to their lives, live accordingly and worship him in accord with his commandments and standards will be able to live forever just as God created man to and the Earth will become the Paradise that God intended when he created it.

- You seem to have overlooked the fact that the Apostle Paul - who wrote large portions of the New Testament - was himself originally a Pharisee and highly educated. Also, the fact that someone is 'illiterate' or 'uneducated' does not mean they are also 'stupid'. People often make the mistake of equating 'not knowing' with being 'dumb'. Roman society was extremely complex, rich and diverse. Sure maybe they 'didn't know' that the earth was round and not flat, was part of a solar system and it takes light around 4 and half years to travel to the nearest neighbouring star. But 'stupid' - definitely not. And I suspect if you or I were bargaining with a street vendor of the time over the price of some article we might well come off second best. Do you really think the later translators would be completely unaware of the issues you raise? Of course not.

- I will answer your points one at a time. I did not overlook Paul or (Saul of Tarus), funny how his conversion occured right after Jesus died when his followers were up for grabs. What was Saul's, the highly educated and literate Pharisee, attitude towards Jesus and his followers while he was alive? I did not say dumb or stupid. I said illiterate to make my case that the diciples writings would probably have been originally in their native tongue (Aramaic). I am a Aramaic primacist, meaning most of the Bible would have been written in Hebrew and Aramaic, a dialec of Hebrew. Funny how the Romans and Paul, wrote mostly in Greek, except for official Roman documents would have been in Latin. What did the Romans and Paul think of Jesus and his followers before his death and legacy? The English word "education", comes from the latin "educare". which means, to bring forth from within. I do think the later translators were unaware of the issues I raised. Judeo/Christianism is an eastern Religion and the Romans and Pauline Christians seem to bring forth from the authorities of the past. What if some of the authorities of the past are wrong or misinterpreted in a western Greco/Roman view, then that education would be more of an indoctrination of past authorities. "Call no man Father, call no man teacher, Seek and you shall find the spirit of truth, for it dwells with you and is in you." To bring forth from within is not only education, but also awareness. Jesus said to be in the world and not of it. That means to be in the world and not be indoctrinated, but aware of what is true.

- 1Corinth 15:29 - - A rhetorical question is being asked. Basically what is being said is, If there is not going to be a resurrection of the dead, then those who are getting baptized into the Christian Congregation are doing so in futility. That is done, of course, to emphasize the certainty of the coming resurrection as is prophesied throughout the Bible

- Exactly right, futhermore I think an aware person has the truth within them and will bear witness to it, when they hear it. Like the old saying it takes one to know one. "Forgive them father for they do not know", do not know what?, the truth! Most people will accept most information from a good or bad authority as the truth, not always so, and the good authority is not always aware of this. "Forgive them Father for they do not know, seek and you shall find the truth, the truth is with you and within you". paraphrased from the words of Jesus. Moreover, Jesus also said "call no man Father or no man Teacher", for a reason.

- There has been a portion of the Judeo/Christion culture, since inception, that thought it was in the end times. look at all the best selling books and TV evangelicals of today.
It was the same in the time of the writing of revelations. The interest in "666' and The new world order is all spawned by the thought or fear that we may be living in the end times. God is divine and Jesus spoke the truth. But, Jesus left no writings behind. It is said that John wrote Revelations. Wrong translations, human error, taking idioms literal and wrong synonyms used in translations has clouded the view of salvation in the Bible. This need not be, if one truly seeks. What I write is not to disprove my own Judeo/Christian faith. Conversly, it strengthens daily as I see the truth. What I once saw as Christian authorites, I now see as well intentioned mere men in error. "Wo you scribes and Pharisees" may mean, in modern day english, wo you Preachers, Pastors and translators of the Bible.

- No, with all due respect, I said the mark on the right hand refers to a mans works. It was a Galien Aramaic idiom of the day. "He will sit by the the right hand of God in Heaven" means, he has done the works of the Father. To have the mark 666 on your right hand is also an Aramaic idiom, which means - you do or have done the works or actions of the beast, which was Nero Caesar or those of Caesar.
And Yes send me your info, I would like to see it.
Here is the common sense info from above, God gave us the ability to bear witness to the truth, if my info does not bring forth something within you, that gives you a feeling of " oh yeah I understand" than I would not be satisfied and seek the truth elsewhere. God bless You, Jesus said If you bring forth what is within you, what you have will save you. Anybody can say or write anything, but, within us is the ability to discern the truth. That is where God is, or Jesus, Or the Holy Spirit.

- 666 Does not refer to "Nero" in name, "Number of his name" or "Number of a man" refers to a name in the old and new testament. You are right about the mark being "Mental enslavement" but the "Right hand" refers to "Right or wrong" not "Right hand or left".
Our findings are several years old and will recieve its copyright on the 23rd of December, 2008.
We will be glad then to share with you the name and how we came to the results.

- 6 is a number used in the Bible to symbolize imperfection, being one short of 7 which is used to symbolize completeness. For something to be repeated three times (Such as God being called Holy, Holy, Holy) emphasizes the property. So, 666 being called the a Man's Number is showing the imperfection and giving emphasis to it. Here is a link to a research article on numbers and their symbolic use in the Bible. It is quite helpful and enlightening. http://tinyurl.com/39ffpfr

If so, please explain then how that can be Nero Caesar. Unless we have been in the End of Days for nearly 2000 years. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts...
